McIver is one of our favorite places to camp for a quickie close to home. We like the deep campsites and that there are a lot of trees and vegetation between sites. There is only one loop for RV sites but it is nicely maintained and there are several trails for hikes.

Stayed at the campsite (51 and 52) for 5 days. No hot water the whole time * broken* Neighbors greeted us with loud ‘Fifty Cent’ boomin and an otherwise empty site that Thursday. Rained some. Quiet. Disk course is magnificent. River amazing and steelhead running up the middle. Too cold to swim, but still lovely. No perceid shower for us, all clouds all the time. Busier camp ground on the weekends, some loud preaching late in the evening. Interesting mix of people but peaceful. No drunks, including us. Sweet storytelling for the kids and safe bike riding for all (though the park itself is pretty steep in places….the site is nice and flat but not big). Overall, I love the disk golf, the park itself is beautiful and the campground nothing special. Water/garbage close to us. Good amount of fire wood for 5 bucks. Sweet camp hosts.

This was a great find. 40 minutes south east of Portland and nearby to Mt. Hood area. Is this lovely State park. It was very spread out and made it feel you had plenty of space between you and the rest of the campers. Highly recommended for RV camping. They have very clean Restrooms and easy sites to pull into.

Clean bathrooms, showers & campsites. Check in @4pm, check out at 1pm.

Campsites area little close together, but I guess that is expected for a state park.

Lots of shade, large sites.

We stayed in site A23-great spot but the trail down to the water was along our site so lots of foot traffic.

A18 looked like a great spot for next time.

Had a great time in Mciver park. $17 bux a night with elec and water hookups. Rv dump at park. Park was full, but it was well shaded and private. Spot a38 is impossible to back into and pull out of heading the correct way around the one way loop. Will visit again!

I would like to first point out that the distance of 4.2 miles from center of city center is wrong. I live out here and I wish it was only that far away from the city!

Great place though. Love it :)

I had found this campground based on tripadvisor comments and I was not disappointed. It was lush, green and beautiful. I'm from CA and this was my 1st OR camping experience. They have showers (free to use) and flush toilets. Both were very clean and well stocked at all times. The campground was quiet and the rangers and hosts were nice. There is a boat launch, fish hatchery, and frisbee golf on site. There were 11 of us on vacation and kids to adults all want to come back.

Love McIver park! The fishing is great and there is plenty for all to do including disc golf and horse trails. The river is cold and fast at times so not the best for swimming though you could venture out with a group ans find a nice hole somewhere. Good for rafting as well. We have camped here a few times and would most certainly be back. Nice and quiet with basic amenities. Very nice camp hosts as well.

Excellent campground close to town. Quick to drive out on a Friday and back home on a Sunday or preferably a Monday morning. Reserve early or plan to visit on weekdays because weekends fill up in advance.
If you fish or boat, Estacada Lake is right there to enjoy.
It is fun to visit the Fish Hatchery and learn more about the process used to protect the local Salmon and Steelhead population.
If you play Disc Golf, there is a large course.
Great hiking or horseback riding trails also available.

It was a clear night and could see lots of stars you forget how beautiful they can be when you live in the city. Nice walk down to the water. Also the view point had pretty views of Mt. Hood .
