McIver is one of our favorite places to camp for a quickie close to home. We like the deep campsites and that there are a lot of trees and vegetation between sites. There is only one loop for RV sites but it is nicely maintained and there are several trails for hikes.

We attended the Beaver State Fling ( National Tour Disc Golf Tournament). There was lots of great places to view the golfers. The bathrooms were surprisingly clean for the number of people in the park. There were many picnic benches that did not require reservations. We saw many people with fishing gear, boating gear. Under normal circumstances I heard but can not verify, there are only 9 holes of disc golf, but they lay out 36 for the tournament. Friends who camped out at the park, commented on the great price and there was even a Movie in the Park night. With all the golfers and spectators (plus the parking spots blocked off for safety reasons, the parking situation frustrated a few non-golf related visitors.
