We visited this spot to pick wildflowers for a friends wedding. Worth a trip to see all the flowers in bloom, a little outside the city but fun for what we were doing.

A great place to go walking or biking. If you are so inclined, you can pick apples, peaches and blueberries. It is a fun palce to spend an afternoon.

This isnt about the wildlife area but I couldnt see a general category. First, the 'beach' is the river bank and its quite long but very narrow, ending up at a very long nude beach so one can wander into the end of that. Mostly,...More

This is a great way to see how grand and plentiful the Portland area is. The island grows all year around has a great pumpkin patch around Halloween and corn stocks (after the corn has been picked) to buy for decorations. Fresh vegetables to buy...More

Want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Downtown? Take your bike and go to Sauvie Island. You will think you drove 100 miles. It is actually only 12 miles from town.

Nice views, water close by to float your paddle board and fishing pole. What more do you need? A Bluetooth speaker you ask? Bring that too, because odds are that someone is playing their music just a bit loudly.
