This is a fun and practical way to get around the metro area. Just a pinch of history to enjoy during your Portland stay.

It has 13 stops and leaves every hour starting at 10am. Great live commentary from the driver. A bit pricy for what you get. Sit in no window areas to get great pictures.

We all had high hopes but it really was a waste of time. The driver, Chucky, spent more time giving us Disney character impressions and telling us about his Libertarian political views. There was hardly any historical information whatsoever. When I asked what the seal sculpture was all about on a building he said he didn't know and how could I expect him to know as there were so many monuments in Portland - NOT! He also knew nothing about architecture. He said a building had Romanesque columns and therefore we could imagine Ceasar coming out to speak to us....... He also identified a building as art deco and it wasn't either. He needs some training and a script. This trip was very expensive too considering what we got out of it compared to other city tours I've been on around the country.

I suppose it was a luck of the draw, but we got a trolley that was very old and was lacking on suspension and shock absorbers. It was if metal was hitting the road when we went over the slightest bump. Unfortunely this trolley had a gruff driver who made it even more intolerable.
