Definitely worth a stop if you're trying to find the best craft breweries. This is not one of the larger and more well known breweries but the beers were awesome and the variety of different styles were great.

Commons Brewing goes truly all-in with the Belgian and French farmhouse theme. But if you gotta choose something to stand out among Portland-area breweries, and there are many, it's true, why not? Indeed Commons has enough beer options that I don't even know where to begin. Just make a point to swing by when in Portland, and roll the dice. Few of their brews disappoint.
They take their craft seriously, and the minimalist approach. You get a lot of space in which to socialize. High ceilings and lots of floor space.
I must also add though that Commons' food goes the distance as well, offering one of those things that in addition to poutine should be mandatory for every brewery: charcuterie. Seriously, if you haven't tasted the holy duo of fine craft beer and charcuterie, then your life has been wasted. That may sound harsh, but it's true.

Great spot to hit, to sample some great libations of the hops & yeast variety. Oh, they also have an in house deli / plate shop (They sell sliced meats, cheeses, nuts, Etc).

Everything about this place was outstanding! The service was top notch, the brews were excellent, the plates of Meats & Cheeses rocked.

Place really picked up at around 7:00PM, on a Tuesday night, and stayed hopping until we parted company around 8:30PM.

The overall cost surprised me, as I thought they had missed something on the bill, but according to the team, everything was there... Great silver lining.

Keep up the great work, our team will be back!!!

As my husband and I got closer to the building, we noticed that it wasn't very busy despite the fact it was a Friday night. We joked that it was a bad omen, and unfortunately, it was not a joke. The building itself is very interesting and large. It would be a fun place to hang out and enjoy beers, but the beer itself was disappointing. I had the Pineapple Gose and my husband had the IPA. Neither one was very good. With so many options here in Portland for craft beer, I don't think this place will be open very long.

If you're a fan of Belgian and German beer, you'll love this brewery. I did a tour of a number of breweries in Portland but found this one to be far and away the best. The German style beer was my favourite, but many of the Belgian style beers are winners as well.

This is a fairly new place--there's no real seating to speak of (yet) and it opens later than other breweries (5 pm during the week, 2 pm on the weekends) but the buzz is that this is one of the best breweries in Portland. If you're a beer lover, you really need to check it out.

a cool venue with adequate beers; this wasn't the strongest place we visited but like any brewery/brewpub I'd suggest going for yourselves and seeing what interests you.

Belgians that regularly visit the USA are well aware that the quality of the beers in the USA is improving every year. It is now as good as in Belgium. Very few people in the USA so far have tackled sour beers - and they are an acquired taste. I have tasted some really good ones during my last trip. This brewery had 2 good ones - Cascade Brewing a few blocks away also does a good job on the sour beers.

I visited 6 brewpubs during my last visit to Portland. This was my favorite one . The beer was excellent , the vibes good and the food was OK too. Because of the good public transportation you can have some great pubcrawls in Portland - really liked the place

This was one of the stops on our self guided and our together brew hopping tour. It's a fun environment, friendly staff and great brews. We had a couple pints and made our way to the next stop but I would add this one to your list. Not every brewery will please every person but I think this one can make most happy.

Great place for some amazing craft beer. My favorite was the Pils. Very large tasting room with plenty of areas to sit and enjoy their beer. While we didn't eat here, there was plenty of food coming out of the kitchen area. Definitely worth a stop in!
