For my first time in Portland this is a must see. Our tour guide Tiffany had such a welcoming attitude towards everyone and was extremely patient for my group in particular since we arrived late for parking. I advise anyone to get there at least half an hour early to find parking. The history along with drinks made the walking tour an adventure especially with it ending at a pizza parlor. I would highly recommend this for anyone visiting Portland and wanting to do something for a couple of hours without breaking bank.

Friends and I decided to try one of these haunted walking/drinking tours of Portland we'd heard about and it was a complete blast. Our guide, Heidi, was a fantastic host on this trip, being both very knowledgeable about the sites we visited and the equal parts comedic and tragic histories contained therein, as well as being an expert as making us all laugh/smile and rolling with the punches as things came up, be it interacting with some Portland's typical street denizens or members of the tour who occasionally attempted to take over the tour themselves. She's clearly an expert at this and I can't recommend taking her tour enough.

The weird Portland pub tour was awesome! The guide, Todd, was very knowledgeable on Portland’s history that set it up to be such an odd city and everything that still makes it different and odd. The 3 pubs were perfectly weird with great beers and cocktails. Great food to purchase if you want a snack mid tour as well! Portland and this tour lived up to my expectations!

I hate writing bad reviews but have tried to contact them multiple times and have gotten no response.
From the website:
"The tour starts and finishes with a beer tasting at the award winning Kells Irish Restaurant + Brewery. Each guest will sample 6 craft beers (5 ounces each)."
There was not a beer tasting before and after. The beer tastings were not in Kells. Instead, the single tasting was at a pizza place and there was only 2, 5oz tastings, not 6, 5oz tastings as advertised.
The website states:
"Social Distancing - Guests will stay at a safe distance during all points of the tour. We also ensure that all staff members will be wearing the necessary PPE."
There was no social distancing, it wasn't even mentioned. Attendees were not wearing masks and the tour guide was not wearing a mask and would get within a foot distance to show photographs.
This experience was really disappointing. I am even more disappointed that they are not providing what is advertised and then not responding to emails or phone calls after the fact.

Would not recommend this tour to anyone. Biggest waste of money I’ve ever had in vacation. It boasted of stopping at all these breweries. It literally starts at a bar and ends at a spot with beer with 2 hours of walking in between with some city knowledge/folklore. But any questions that were asked our guide didn’t have an answer too. I was pretty disappointed.

I’m sorry you did not enjoy the tour and expected something different. We strive to make the tour a great experience. I’m not sure why you said “not as advertised ” did you read the description? The description of the tour does include all of the stops on the tour. We are always happy to refund your money if you’d like to get in touch.

We got stuck in a pileup on Mt Hood on our way from Bend to Portland to take this tour. I emailed and texted with our updated ETA and the owner didn't seem very concerned with helping us or rearranging another time. We were able to meet up with the tour on the last stop and the tour guide was very lovely and even stayed late to chat with us. However it would have been nice to have been given the option to reschedule or a coupon to use in the future since we spent $90 for 20 minutes of stories and a rejected pitcher of beer.

This tour was awesome! Todd did a great job of showing us around SE Portland and giving us a ton of history on the Weirdness of Portland and the PNW. Having grown up in Oregon I learned a lot of cool facts and details that I didn’t know before. All while trying out beer from some of the original craft brewery’s in the state, made for an awesome date night for my partner and I. Can’t recommend the tour enough, and plan on attending another with a larger group in the future. Thanks Beerquest!

I’m sure this tour is great outside COVID but 45 dollars for walking to a few closed downtown stops and standing outside to hear some stories, then going to one bar for a free drink is not worth it. All while dealing with homeless and drunk people harassing you while walking. Not good.

The tour guide was great. The beer was pretty good. It was raining, (#Portland). But it was not near spooky enough. In fact, not scary or spooky at all. The website stated it wouldn't be scary, but they should call it "Historical Beer Tour", not haunted. People book a haunted beer tour because they want to be spooked!

Truly enjoyable and informative walking tour led by an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide who was generous with his time. The tour was customized to the interests of the group - meaning that if folks were more interested in certain time periods or historical events than others, the guide made sure to include and emphasize these. Would definitely recommend this tour, and the surprise finish with the “flaming Spanish coffee” was a true delight!

We have a group of 4 couples coming to visit portland in February and we really want to do a tour and this brewery tour sounds perfect. One of the Girls is pregnant though so I was wondering is she would be able to get the tour at a discounted rate since she will not be involved in any of the tastings. Thank you :)
