About
Brewery is difficult to find. It's in the basement of the building, and there is not a sign outside. Once inside, there are a few small tasting tables, and it is very low key, and they do not serve food. Bring your own note paper if you like to take notes, and be prepared for some unusual brews such as beer made with beef hearts! Our favorites were "Six", Supercool IPA and Barleywine Bull Run Barrel, and this was my husbands favorite brewery in Portland!

Came here on Sunday evening 2021-11-21 just prior to attending an event at Moda Center. Quite a few people had the same idea of drinking here rather than at Moda Center, so it was quite busy. There were only about a dozen tables or less, so it was challenging to find an empty table. Additionally, there was literally only one server behind the counter, so the line and wait got quite long. The gentleman behind the counter was nice and patient; the pressure of the long line did not appear to faze him whatsoever. He was quite deliberate in his pace.
We ordered a couple of different beers each, and we enjoyed all of them.
The ambiance of the small brewery was nice, comfortable, and modern.
Restrooms were clean and require a key, which are hanging near the counter.
Parking can be challenging during peak hours.

Great vibe in the hard to find local brew bar. Love the vinyl jazz, fitting with the name of the brewery. The beers were very good. Great saison and sour. Definitely worth the hunt and a return.

We went here on our most recent trip and asked locals where to get a good brew. This is where we were directed. We stumbled in on a Sunday night after visiting another local brewery and found some good taps, local music and nice people. They have a good selection to sample and you can take a look around the brewery. Their beer is numbered, so it makes it easy to remember which one you liked. Their seasonal taps were tasty too (they had three while we were there).

Make sure to check the times, as they are only open Thurs-Sun and you wouldn't want to miss this place. Also, search the location before coming, as it is in the basement of a type of business development and we got lost.

Super cozy location. They have card and board games. Great atmosphere! We loved the musical touch of a singer and guitar player playing the blues.

This place is an actual brewery, with a tasting room, and they do not serve food, (in similar fashion to going to a small winery). It was hard to find because it is in the basement, and does not have an exterior sign. (Enter the door that says "Leftbank" across from the parking lot on North Wheeler, and take the elevator or stairs to the basement.)

This brewery is simple, straight forward, and allows beer enthusiasts the privilege to sample and buy some of their amazing beer. They do not have printed sheets to hand you, or printed tasting glasses, marked trays or any other tasting adornments or touristy crap. You can look at a laminated menu with full descriptions of each beer, and the glasses are set in front of you in order of the menu. Bring your own paper and pen if you want to take notes. Come with patients, as there was only one person to both pour samples, and working the cash register. Your patients will be rewarded with some complex and tasty beer!

My husband and I did the full tasting, which consisted of 9 x 3 oz. tastes, or one each of the current beers they were offering: FOUR - Wheat beer (French & Belgian Ales), FIVE - 3 hop varieties w/pale carmel, SIX - Rye Beer, SEVEN - Belgian-esque, CAPTAIN BEEFHEART - made with Turkish bay leaf, long pepper, and actual charred beef heart (The idea of drinking a beer make of beef hearts made my stomach want to turn, but it actually has a smoked flavor that would pair nicely with charred meats or a cigar. It was indeed a novel, memorable experience), CHOCOLATE STOUT - made with cacao nibs, SUPERCOOL IPA, and BARLEYWINE.

My favorites were FOUR, SIX, and the BARLEYWINE. My husband likes the SIX, and SUPERCOOL IPA. (We purchased a couple of bottles while at the brewery, and have been lucky to find FOUR and SIX in higher end beer stores here in the San Francisco Bay Area.)

I like this place. The Pilsner was perfect and the people are great. Love the music too. I enjoyed all the beers in my flight. Try Upright.

Neat little brewery below the Stingray Cafe, pouring farmhouse and sour style beers with a dim lit, underground industrial ambiance. Bartender was pleasant and helpful in navigating their tap list. Minors allowed. Not a vast and impressive brewery by any means, but worth a visit for some sours when you're in the mood. Thanks!

Best,

We enjoyed sampling many of their beers. Favorites were Fatali Four, Four Play, and Special Herbs. Mostly saisons, with an IPA and a few other styles brought through barrels.

The space is cool, taproom right in the brewery, and the crowd was small on a Friday evening. They spin vinyl for a nice background music. You can take an elevator or the stairs to get to the brewery.

This place is in the basement, with a rather roundabout way of getting there. Just keep going, and you will eventually find it! The beer isn't bad, but not the best of what we tried. Mind you, there are so many kinds of beer out there, so it is worth trying. Your taste might be very different from mine. There is standing room surrounded by casks. Neat way to taste the beer.

Yes, so we really liked the beers, but the most memorable part was finding your way down to it from the street. Worth a visit, especially if you love saisons and a pretty unique location. I would say it's not for the claustrophobic or paranoid.

My Son, bought his brother and I called "special herbs" a bottle of their 2015 herb beer, If you like beer that is so sour that you cannot drink it ,and the term smells like dirty feet ,this beer fits the bill. I been drinking good quality beer for years from different micro brewery ,but when I tasted it I had to spit it out it was so bad, I wouldn't even use it to marinade a piece of anything it is that bad, their brewmaster must have a cold that day and couldn't smell or taste anything, and I didn't visit this place either
