This is a neighborhood theater with theater seating and a bar in the back. All the seat are good and the lighting and sound systems are professional.we went to a concert. Two couples. Very enjoyable. Clean rest rooms and everyone, regardless of age, was made to feel welcome.

We had a total blast at the Alberta Rose! We watched a taping of the syndicated radio show, Livewire, and laughed ourselves silly! There was comedy, music, banter and a great interview! The venue is perfectly sized to really enjoy a show! The bar was really nice and not over crowded. I loved the relaxed professionalism of the staff, which makes it easy to have a great time!

My girlfriend and I went to the Oregon Burlesque Festival at the Alberta Rose. I was surpised at the size of the venue, which was packed. The show itself was an incredible value--great comedy, variety, and the MC was wonderfully irreverent. The acoustics were great and the drinks line moved very quickly. They could use an usher to be a line wrangler, though--it was hard to tell where it began and which one was the line to the women's bathroom. The acoustics were great and the sightlines were good--I'm 6' and she's 5'7" so someone shorter might want to get there early to sit closer.

I’ve been coming here for years. Amazing bands sound great due to the acoustics. Intimate and affordable. Good drink selection but no real food options. The seats are ancient and need to be replaced but yet they are still reasonably comfortable. Mostly Gen X and boomer crowd wishing the whole show would start and end earlier, it wasn’t just me nodding off when the opening act went until 9:30. Also, they jam your cell service when the acts are playing so you don’t use your phone during performances.

I left a review on another site regarding their uncomfortable seating. Management responded with sarcasm and a middle finger emoji. Needless to say, we won't be back.

They offer quality drinks which was nice. We were here to see Duffy Bishop and the Rhythm Dogs. They could use more restrooms. We left and went to a place down the street and came back because the restroom lines were too long.

This was an old movie theatre that was renovated and now has live acts of all kinds. We were there on a Saturday night for 5 storytelling performers. It was a funkie general seating place with very friendly people. Parking was challenging because it was a residential neighborhood. We went early and "saved" our seats with our jackets, then took a walk around town until the 8:00 show. It was fun and casual, plus the storytellers were very good. It promoted lots of conversation and storytelling of our own on our way back to our hotel. We were glad to experience this plus tickets were very reasonable at $16 a person. It was a really nice evening with friends! I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys the performing arts on a budget.

As Concordia residents, we’re thrilled to have this charming theater anchoring Alberta Street, a few blocks walk from our home. They host many events annual: music, comedy, readings, film and all types of performance. It’s a building that dates from the 1920s, so it’s compact and quirky. Acoustics are good. There’s a small concessions counter and too few restrooms, but I suppose that’s part of the old-school charm! 😄

“Live Wire” is always a favorite, interesting guests, so entertaining! Check the schedule and enjoy a live recording of this syndicated national radio broadcast/podcast every few weeks!

The Alberta Rose is a classic theater of bygone days. This place is made with wood and plaster, not plastic. Beautiful inside architecture, with balconies and arches, and cloth-covered seats that are reasonably comfortable.

Sight lines within the theater are surprisingly good-- we've been there a number of times and haven't found a bad seat yet. Audio quality is even better-- round, mellow sound that belongs with the acts they book.

Ticket prices are reasonable. They serve beer and wine, maybe some food as well, but I haven't sampled any of it, so there's no comment to be made about that.

A final thought: audiences there have been of mixed ages, which is really exciting. I've been in too many venues where everyone is the same age. That's a stale situation for the arts, and it makes me sad to see it. Here a broad range of ages can be exposed to new/old acts, and that seems very healthy to me.

First time visitor - loved it. Great concert. Small, intimate atmosphere we were only a few feet from the stage. The small size means that the seats are a little on the small side. I picked a seat next to a large gentleman and had to sit sideways in my seat, but that didn't detract from a great evening. The bar service was fantastic. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Underwood Pinot noir gets a thumbs up but the stars of the evening were the "hand pies" or pasties. What a great idea for concert venue food. Ended up having two of them.

Oh and Russell was great!!
