Fantastic! We brought two out of town friends on a day tour of three wineries with lunch. Ralph the driver and guide is extremely personable and knowledgeable about everything Oregon wine and picked three great places to go - we’d asked for less well known vineyards but still in the McMinnville area. All three were very different but all had great wine and great staff doing the pours, who explained so much. By luck we came on the last picking day so we got to see some of the processing at one place, and got to actually taste the grapes right off the vine. Ralph also brought snacks and lunch so we were well fed all day. I would highly recommend this business for anyone interested in learning about or trying Oregon wines - whether you’re local or a visitor.

This was the best winery tour experience we could have asked for! Ralph was so efficient and attentive from the moment I reached out. He was so flexible and helpful when picking out wineries. We received suggestions from friends and sent them to him and he put together an amazing itinerary, while also including some of his own suggestions. We started the day off around 10:30am where Ralph picked us up in their roomy van right from our hotel. It was just my boyfriend and I, so it was a great private experience! We headed to Fairsing, which was intimate and wonderful. Ralph allowed us to stop for lunch before our second stop. There was a very long wait, so Ralph was so sweet to drop us off at Stoller (2nd stop) and go back to the restaurant and grab our sandwiches so we could enjoy our time. Our third and final stop was at Penner Ash, which was my favorite! He had a meat and cheese tray set for us and we were able to enjoy sitting outside. We got lucky with the weather being so great and no rain, which was a worry this time of year. However, Ralph made sure all of the wineries were accommodating to be indoors. Overall, it was such a wonderful service and I don't know what I would have done without them. We didn't have to worry about reservations or transportation so there was no stress at all. Ralph was a fantastic driver and so knowledgeable about Portland, the history of wine, and everything in between. I know I will be using them again next time I am in Portland and I HIGHLY recommend Ralph and the team if you are thinking about doing a winery tour!

We had an amazing wine tour! There were 3 of us on the tour to celebrate a friend, who is super into wine. Ralph made a personalized experience, was great at coordinating all of our wine preferences and food accommodations before hand, and was so pleasant. Our tour guide David was superb. Our group loves learning, and he answered all of our wine questions and was entertaining throughout the day. We really appreciated his insight and detail. This is probably the best tour experience I've had. Would highly recommend!

Excellent tour of the Willamette Valley! We had a fun and informative tour with David (we selected the private full-day tour (3 wineries)). Based on learning a bit about our interests/expectations before the tour, Grape Escape crafted a tour for us and even provided us a personalized printed itinerary at the pick-up point. We enjoyed the wine at each stop and learned a lot about the area as well. David also provided food pairings for us along the way which were quite tasty! Highly recommend this tour company!

You'll be in great hands with Grape Escape Winery Tours as your guide! Ralph did an outstanding job of asking what we were interested in and then organized a tour that met our interests perfectly. He included a delicious lunch that was a yummy complement to our tastings. One thing we appreciated was how easy it was to book our tour and his great communication. We also enjoyed his vast knowledge of the Willamette Valley.

We have had a group on a few tours with Grape Escape over the past two years and have had such a memorable time! Ralph and team are personable, professional, educated and really customize the experiences based on your preferences. He does a great job at keeping it casual, fun, affordable and unique! Grape Escape keeps it more "low key". The team is happy to dive into the education and food/wine pairing if you'd like and all of them know of some really awesome micro to medium sized wineries that will treat you like family and show you the Oregon wine experience. I would highly suggest booking with GE on your trip to the Willamette Valley!

Booked with Grape Escape for a private full day wine tour of the Willamette Valley for my birthday. As soon as we booked, we received an email from Ralph (the owner and our tour guide) asking us about us and our interests for the day. From there he planned an amazing day for us. On the drive from Portland to the Willamette Valley, Ralph gave us the history of the area along with an intro to what we would be doing that day. We went to 3 different boutique wineries and it’s hard to choose a favorite as we loved and enjoyed all 3- the fall colors were peaking so the views were also incredible. In addition to the tastings, Ralph prepared a charcuterie board to pair with the wines and an amazing steak & grilled veggie lunch. When he heard we were going to do the Columbia River Gorge/Mt. Hood loop the next day he suggested a winery in the area for us to compare to the Willamette Valley wines. We did stop at his suggestion and had a lovely experience. Would highly recommend booking this tour and we LOVED Ralph! It was a highlight of our trip to Oregon, and if we return we will definitely book another tour with Ralph/Grape Escape.

There were only four of us on the tour and we were picked up promptly by Ralph, who gave us a brief talk about the tour and asked if we had any other questions. The wineries he picked were perfect for the rainy day. We had cheese and fruit at the first winery; steak, veggies, salad and bread at the second; and brownies with our red wine at the third. It was a perfect trip (except for the rain, which Ralph would have stopped if he had been able). I have been on several wine tours in California and Oregon and this is best by a mile!

I live in Portland and I received my Grape Escape experience as a gift from my brother and it was definitely my favorite gift! I went wine tasting with one of my great friends and Ralph was our tour guide. We met downtown Portland then headed on the 26 toward Beaverton. We were at our first destination in about and hour and it was a lovely little escape! It was just after Christmas so the wineries were all decorated for the holidays. Prior to going on our experience, Ralph asked what kind of wines we liked (Chardonnay for white, Malbec for red) and created our experience around it. We went to 3 wineries Ruby, Colleen Clemens, and Cana’s Fest. Each one had its own unique atmosphere and selection of wines. We were provided with delightful cheeses and snacks to enjoy with our wines and beautiful views. Grape Escape is a fabulous experience for locals and travelers! Highly recommended!
