This review is a little late, but we had a great experience with Blaze. We did our tour in September, after Labor Day, and the city was very quiet. It ended up being a "private" tour since it was only 2 of us, me with my 17 year old teen. Doing Portland by Segway is the way to go, as we were able to cruise around downtown and on the other side of the river. We did the afternoon tour, so we were able to catch the sunset as well. My teen had a brief moment of motion sickness, and Blaze could not have been kinder and more attentive. And of course he was a wealth of knowledge about the city. A definite most do if you're visiting Portland.

We took the tour right before COVID hit (March 2020) and had so much fun! My goddaughter was visiting us in Seattle and wanted to see Portland. We thought the segway tour would be a great way to cover a lot of ground for our day trip and we were right. The segways were easy and safe to ride although I was surprised how much my feet hurt from standing on the segway and balancing the whole ride. The ride did flare up my plantar fasciitis but that had nothing to do with the tour itself, just my crappy feet. The tour guide was very entertaining and we learned a ton about Portland's history. I would definitely consider the segway tours in other cities and I'll bring more supportive shoes next time!

We took a Segway tour of Portland because it's fun, you can cover a lot of ground, and we both love to learn! Kurt was our knowledgeable guide for the morning of September 23, 2021. We lucked out because we were the only two who signed up for the 10:00 a.m. tour and we thoroughly enjoyed Kurt's outgoing and fun personality. He quickly helped us become comfortable on our Segways. Kurt's lived in Portland for many years and shared anecdotes, fun facts, and the history of Portland while showing and explaining the significance of several beautiful fountains, old buildings, Portlandia, the University, and the water front. He also answered our questions about the various outlying neighborhoods and why Portland has such a large homeless population. We enjoyed a great tour!

We got to our tour early and our guide was getting out equipment. We were very uneasy about using a segway, but Blaze our guide was an excellent instructor. We had a little extra time one on one before the others arrived, which was great. Blaze was very informative about Portland and I really loved his humor. He answered all our questions and even took time to take our pictures. It was a very interesting tour and we are planning to do it in other cities as we travel. Feel like a pro now. . .haha
