Half-Day Columbia River Gorge and Waterfall Hiking Tour

38 reviews
The 80 miles of the Columbia River Gorge’s steep rocky sides offer some of the most spectacular scenery in the world: pounding waterfalls, eagles, century-old trees, ferns, flowers, ancient rocks. This half-day of exploring and meditating on wonders with very short hikes and visits to overlooks and vistas will have you gasping in awe.

We'll visit waterfalls and overlooks, selected by our guides to include both the most iconic, like the unmissable Latourell Falls, a stunning plunge-style falls that is one of the most iconic in Oregon, and the special. Depending on weather conditions, this could include a few small hidden waterfalls and another spectacular plunge-style falls with columnar basalt.

We'll also tell you stories, not just of the geology and botany and the oft-repeated tales of pioneers and road-builders, but also the old stories we've learned, of gods and animal spirits and the Beaver princess tragically turned into a waterfall.

Great red wines. No Pinot here, but a few nice blends. The owner is awesome and more than willing to share his knowledge of wines. A bit hard to find, but worth the drive across the Broadway Bridge to get there. Parking is available.

We were a party of 8 for a private wine tasting as part of an Auction Event. Marissa was our host and did a great job. She was very friendly, and quite knowledgeable about the wines and their production. As a group we all found the wines to be very good, with some being excellent. I think we all came away with a few bottles of wine and a promise to return. The wines are only available at the winery but I would strongly recommend visiting this establishment.

We spent a lovely few hours here sampling their wines and chatting to the lovely sales lady. It was 15$ for a tasting of 8 wines which is waved if you buy at least two bottles. Plus they even allowed us to split the tasting glass (as eight tasting glasses is quite a lot for me on an empty stomach). Nice relaxed atompsphere to spend the afternoon in. Great range of reds plus a sparkling Rose and a Chardonnay. We even found a wine that my husband and I agreed on which is a first!
