My boyfriend and I were so happy to find a tour operator in Portland who is still offering fun experiences during Covid times and has clearly put substantial thought into safety. That being said, although there were other people on this tour and it required car travel, the entire vibe was chill and didn't make us feel like we were about to risk our lives to see waterfalls IN A PANDEMIC. We did our waterfall tour with Sarah as well as two bike tours with her partner Edwin during our visit to Portland. They were both incredibly chill and friendly, and they made it possible to experience a ton of Portland during the three and half days we were there. The five waterfalls we saw were gorgeous, and Sarah had a lot of interesting information to share about the history of the falls as well as the scenic road we took as we drove between them. The infrastructure talk was especially appreciated by my boyfriend, who is a civil engineer. The end of the tour features a monument to the road honoring the civil engineer who designed it, which was cool to see given how much information we had learned about the history throughout the journey. This tour was my favorite thing we did on our trip, which is saying something because we did a lot! I have a new appreciation for waterfalls and now want to check out more of them.…

My boyfriend and I had an awesome experience biking around Portland with Edwin! He knows a ton about the city and its neighborhoods, and his chill demeanor made the experience seem like we were being shown around the city by an old friend. We were the only customers on the tour, and it was cool to be able to ask any questions we wanted and get personalized answers and recommendations along the way. We loved the breweries we got to visit and never would have been able to visit the number of them we were able to on this tour if we had headed out on our own. The bikes we were given to use were in great shape and really easy to ride, and the helmets they provided were comfy and in good shape as well. We also got pre-filled water bottles for our journey. As travelers to Portland during Covid times, we felt very safe on our tour. Edwin made sure we did as much beer sampling outdoors as possible, and masks were used (and, I believe, required) in all non-socially-distanced situations. Thank you for the awesome experience, Edwin!!…

The views: wow! The waterfalls: cold, gorgeous, so impressive. The hikes were easy enough for someone who isn't a regular hiker, but still fun, I felt like I really got into the forest. Edwin was so informative and really loves what he does. He did a great job connecting with the group on the tour, and it was nice to have a tour that has no minimums -- as a solo traveler, I'm always afraid to be canceled on. He'd just taken out a solo traveler the day before. Thanks Edwin and the Lonely Planet Experiences team! I wouldn't have missed this for anything.…

Great experience, would do it again! It was so cool to see the waterfalls with all the spring rain. The guides gave me the perfect mix of time with the group and time to myself. 10/10 would recommend.

Stunning waterfalls, great hikes, wildflowers just beginning to emerge, and plenty of time to explore and enjoy! I was so thrilled to experience this with my knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide, Sarah. She is a true local, as in love with the place as her guests are, and full of amazing stories. Comfortable and even a little lux transportation and the feeling I was getting a behind-the-scenes look at a beautiful place enjoyed by many. Truly unmissable.…
