I visited Portland on a solo trip for the first time in March, 2020. I had planned to spend my trip exploring the food in the city, and Forktown Food Tours was absolutely one of the best ways to do that! For a pretty decent price you get to check out five different restaurants, each with an outstanding meal. Accomidations for my diet were easily made (no pork or beef), and seemed to be the same for others in the group with different needs as well. The tour guide was friendly, knowledgable, and fun to chat with. All in all a positive experience that left my stomach VERY full in the best of ways. Definitely will bring friends along next time I visit Portland.

I was a solo traveler who took the tour with Ahna our guide and a lovely family of three from Wisconsin in early March. We had an excellent time sampling from local businesses (both food and drinks) while Ahna filled us in on the detailed history of the places we ate and the neighborhood of Mississippi. Eat place had a different tasting experience and unique Portland take whether it was a food truck, restaurant or brewery. If you are in downtown Portland it's very easy to grab a ride on the bus (directions in your tour confirmation are spot on) and inexpensive ($5 for an all day pass).

I love this tour. Heidi is an amazing guide with a deep knowledge of Portland history and the food scene. She keeps the tour lively and upbeat. I am gluten free and often feel a bit left out in food tours but not in this one. All the stops had a slight variation of the same dish. The stops were fluid and well rounded. I highly recommend making this your first stop once you hit town! I will definitely be back for a third tour my next visit.
