Explore the Willamette and Columbia Rivers aboard the Explorer high speed boat from Portland. Explorer cruises are an adventure-style experience. We do sightseeing tours multiple times daily. The Explorer Jet boat is part of the Portland Spirit fleet with a capacity of 35 passengers. Cruises include a 1.5 hour city and bridges tour twice daily, as well as a 7 hour Heart of the Gorge tour daily; where we travel from Downtown Portland, through the Bonneville Dam, to Cascade Locks, and back. The Portland Spirit operates the Explorer Jet Boat daily from June to September.

It was a little foggy the morning we took the boat and land package. By the time we made it to the Columbia River Gorge, it was sunny and in the 70's! For $99 an adult, you get the jet boat tour of 60 miles...More

I had a beautiful, sunny September day for my cruise to Astoria on the Outrageous. We left as scheduled and took a slow tour through downtown as the guide talked about the history of the many bridges and some buildings along the river. Once out...More

Wear a rain coat - it's part of the fun. Our captain was terrific - part historian part race boat driver. You see things not visible from roads, a nice perspective on the city. Highly recommend.
