Nice for young children

We had a great time with our grandchildren, lots for them to do. Great places to eat for everyone. Parking is organized and easy.

This zoo is great for families with young kids. It's a great zoo in general, but our 1.5 year old could actually see everything at his height. Yay!

We had a wonderful day at the zoo...absolutely gorgeous grounds, paths and so many attractions. We came for the zoo and especially, the elephants. We were happy to see them roam, play freely in large areas...they all looked healthy and all were active while we were there. The zoo is clean and well kept. We loved this experience. The food... Pacific NWtrail with bears, eagled and beautiful plantings was unique to this part of the country. Loved it.

I love zoos and travel around the country so I try to stop at any local zoo I find. Portland was definitely memorable

We only had time to visit the pacific north section of the zoo, but we loved every minute of our time there. Shady winding paths let you wander through the exhibits comfortably. Guests can get close enough to the animals to get some nice pictures. There are interactive signs to educate visitors along the way.

There was enough to do here to occupy several hours, and the admission prices were reasonable. There was a wide variety of animals, and the zoo seemed to be well staffed in all the areas we visited. I'm glad the zoo is receiving an update, because the areas that were already done (like the Elephant Lands) were fabulous, but the... More

I really loved the outdoor concert series. The venue is a large grassy area with plenty of room. Just be sure to bring something to sit on.

The Oregon zoo is so cool! To start with, it already feels like arriving in style. We took the underground train and when you get up, it leads you right to the zoo. They say they hold events and concerts here, I could see why, its a really cool place with big grounds. There is also a good collection of... More
