I chose a good time to attend ZooLights. I waited until after the holidays and picked one of the last available times of the night. No waiting and it was not crowded. The displays were great. Thanks to the zoo employees for all the work they put into making the displays. And I didn't mind paying extra for ZooLights this year even though I am a member. Because of the closures this year I can understand paying extra. I have always loved our zoo no matter what other reviews have said. Some people just like to complain. And right now there is a lot of construction but that is to make better exhibits for the animals. And now that the zoo has partially reopened I will be visiting during the day next week. Rain or shine.…

The evening zoo lights were fantastic! Entrance to the zoo was well organized and didn't take too long. There was a great variety of light displays which made for a memorable evening.

Why make people schedule a time for the Zoo lights when you can't make it happen. Telling people to be 25 minutes early and then leaving them sitting in line for an hour and more. I paid $50 dollars for my family to attend this. I know with COVID the Zoo needs the money, but this is ridiculous.…

the oregon zoo is really well done. we always have a wonderful time, and even during COVID, they managed to make it enjoyable and safe. for people complaining about cost- when the zoo was/is shut down, they lose MILLIONS of dollars- which is how they feed the animals. I understand its frustrating, but it's undersandable why they can't have their discount days anymore, why they charge members for zoo lights (though it's less with memebership, etc). They are hemorraging money. That means it's not going to be perfect and there won't be any deals. They still do a great job.…

They really screwed over their members this year. With 75% of the zoo being under construction (until spring 2021) they really should have adjusted their ticket prices especially considering how much money they have received from the government (COVID related) and donors or at least allow free parking with a ticket purchase. With the new online ticket purchase they have decided that members need to pay for their infant. Infants 3 and under are FREE. They stated that members need to use their guest ticket for their infant and stated that members who have the individual or dual plan need to upgrade. If you purchase a regular ticket then you can also get a regular infant ticket free of charge. So why are they forcing the members to upgrade to pay for their infant? They also only allow a small amount of member tickets to be purchased but they have WAY more regular tickets available (100+ per time slot). So member tickets sell out way faster forcing members to purchase regular tickets (giving them more money). Also, members get discounted tickets to zoo lights this year where as it use to be free to members!…
