We attended a concert in the evening and were able to tour the zoo. It was a nice place. Zoos have changed a lot in the last decades and it's nice to see a place with ample space in "natural" habitats for animals. It was a very decent zoo.

While somewhat pricy, this is a lovely zoo in a park with beautiful walking trails, an awesome playground, and a children's museum. It's an utterly perfect place to visit if you have young children.

This zoo was circular with theme areas such as Africa or Elephants. Actually very similar to the Seattle zoo in layout but much larger. Feeding times were posted and the elephants had dinner while we watched. The zoo was clean, easy to navigate and the animals looked healthy. A fun 2 hours.

We have visited many zoos around the country and this is one of the best. The new elephant area is the best and planed updates around the zoo for animals are awesome. We will be returning as the new baby polar bear arrived two days after we were there.

We went to the Oregon Zoo on a nice sunny warm day. Its a nice zoo with the typical animals such as elephants, monkeys, sea otters, lions, bears, penguins, and so forth. I in particular liked the Great Northwest Section of the Zoo. The black bears were so nice to see. They were enjoying feeding at the time. I also... More

I have teenagers now, and theywith the continuous remodeling of the animal exhibits, the Oregon Zoo has become a treasure for Portland. The animals are happy (most important), it is CLEAN, the zoo offers a variety of programs for... More

Seems like a great zoo. Didn't get to see many animals as we were there for a concert in the evening. The elephants are great! Such a neat place to see a concert. If you ever get a chance, I would highly recommend it.

I like this Zoo. It was clean and bigger than I was expecting. Relocate the Elephants though. They need more room and deserve a better life.
