If this is your first time to visit Portland, make sure to book a food cart tour from Lost Plate Food Tours. Food was great, our tour guide Herb was very knowledgeable about the food scene in Portland and he is very good and we had so much fun! This was our first time to do a food tour and my family and I will highly recommend it. Make sure that you are hungry when you go to this tour coz you will eat a lot of food.

The tour was great!!! We stopped at a couple of food cart pods, a local brewery and an indoor food cart. Our guide Evangel, was amazing!!! She was very knowledgeable and interactive. She had bits of history for each place and dish. The food itself was a delicious collection of food from around the globe! Overall, great experience. I would definitely do tours from your company of they were offered on other states across the US!

What a great way to experience the food truck culture of Oregon. Our guide, Herb, was fantastic - engaging everyone from our 16yo Australian son, through to the group of ladies travelling together from Canada. Food was plentiful and amazing, we learnt a lot about the food movement, had lots of laughs and would do it again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!
PS - make sure you have cash for a tip. We rarely travel with cash anymore and we’re searching for an atm so we could show Herb our appreciation.

Herb did a great job guiding us on the tour. Funny, talkative and knowledgeable about food trucks and Portland area. Great portions! We had 7 different dishes and 3 drinks. The Burma Shan Noodles were the best! So delish. We opted for the sodas instead of the beer.

Michelle was fantastic. She was super knowledgeable and provided incredible information about the local area and all of the owners of the establishments. She even went above and beyond to provide recommendations for the rest of our trip. The portions were huge, so show up hungry. Take this tour - you won’t regret it.

Our hotel staff did a private group tour with Lost Plate as a team building experience and it was awesome! We were stuffed by the end of the tour and ended up at a local brewery where we relaxed and enjoyed some beer to finish the evening. We had a group size of about 7 and it was perfect size I thought and a great team building experience. Michelle was an absolutely pleasure to work with coordinating it all and leading the group. Thank you for an awesome experience and we look forward to doing it again soon on the coffee and donuts tour! Cheers!

We usually like to take a city food tour the day we arrive in a previously un explored city —this way we can pick on the brains of our guide to suggest other activities and places we should not miss.
Unfortunately , we could not do this with this particular tour as the days did not work out
. Regardless! Ryan was an excellent host , thoroughly knowledgeable , engaging and overall a very pleasant fella to show us the delights of Portland. We really appreciated his suggestions on a future plan of vineyard and the beaches of Oregon.
The food and drink on this tour was just right —did not need to drink or eat anymore after the tour was done.
I believe the same outfit is going to offer tours of Siem Reap in Cambodia this December. We sure will plan of looking them up when we visit the temples in December.
Thank you for a delightful evening. Would unreservedly recommend these fine folk!

Hi Rakesh! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this fabulous review, it is much appreciated! I am so happy to hear you had a great night out with Ryan and enjoyed all of the food and drinks in the neighborhood. There's so much to do in Portland and especially outside of Portland, like wine country and the coast, so hopefully we will see you back here again sometime! We do operate food tours in Cambodia so we hope to see you in Siem Reap soon. Thanks so much and take care!

It was a new concept: a progressive food tour, when your have drinks and appetizers at one place, then walk to another for a soup/salad/ and a third for the main course, and a fourth for dessert. It was fun to walk on the streets in Portland, which gave us a sense of how compact it is, and yet full of different places. The bad thing was the choice of food. For example, we went to a Ramen place, but although this was their specialty, we did not have ramen there; had something else.

Hi Jeffrey H! I do want to thank you for taking the time to leave this review! I will take your comments as feedback to improve this tour, but this is the first low-star review we have ever received on TripAdvisor and it was received almost 1 year after you took the tour. We are a small, family-run business, so creating an amazing experience is crucial for a business like ours to survive. We are proud and humbled to have received a large amount of amazing reviews on this platform. What’s described in your review is not the stellar experience we’re committed to providing each guest and I want to personally apologize that this tour did not meet your expectations. We are always evolving and tweaking our tours to make them better and this particular tour has indeed changed since you joined almost one year ago. However, this experience has always been a food tour, not a progressive dinner. We visit 4 sit-down restaurants and have perfectly-sized portions of their menu items, plus visit a winery, distillery, and brewery. We have never served soup or salad on this tour which is what is described. So I do hope you are reviewing the correct experience and this is not meant for someone else. Besides the food, I am pleased to hear you enjoyed the walk around this historic neighborhood and information along the way. Again, we do appreciate the feedback. And if you are ever in Portland again, we would love to host you on another one of our tours and show you a 5-star stellar experience! Thanks and take care!

We began this food tour at Fullerton Wines. We decided to show up early and see what these wines were all about. Jeff recommended a Pinot Noir flight that wasn't going to be part of our tour, which was perfect. The wines were impeccable. The young wine maker has an amazing palate and he was on site as well, which is always a bonus. Then we began the food tour with 3 tastings and a charcuterie board with all the usual suspects (but very tasty!). We then moved on to Grassa, Boke Bowl, Le Happy, and the Lucky Lab Beer Hall. Everything we had was excellent. It was a LOT of food, much more than we would eat if we were just going out for dinner. Each dish was very well executed and tasted great. Our favs of the night included the Cacio de Pepe at Grassa and the Fried chicken bao bun at Boke Bowl. In between food stops, we walked the alphabet neighborhood and our guide, Michelle (and her guide in training LeRoy) talked about some of the history in the area. She was well spoken, interesting, and personable (as was LeRoy). I would highly recommend this tour; it was an excellent way to get to know that area of town and eat/drink deliciousness.

Hi Angela! Thank you so much for this amazing and detailed review! We love when our guests take time to leave such an awesome review about our tour and everywhere we visit. We are so pleased that you enjoyed all of the food and the fun places we visit throughout the neighborhood. And we agree, that pasta and fried chicken bun are to die for! We hope you will come on another one of our tours the next time you are in Portland, or any other location we operate in. Thanks again!

This tour was fantastic and I have been telling everyone I know that they should do it whenever they find themselves in Portland. First off, Michelle was made for this gig. She's super personable, charismatic, and well-versed on the ins and outs of Portland info. Next, they food she selects is delicious and unique. They were quite decent portions, plus with a few beverages included, I would recommend having a small segmented tupperware with you to save some inevitable leftovers.
