This is an absolutely beautiful Japanese garden, although a slightly more enjoyable experience would have been with less people and without children running screaming around the zen garden ! I would highly recommend visiting on a weekday when it is quieter, so you can appreciate...More

This place was great for a short visit. I did not feel crowded or rushed. It was just enough asian beauty and none of the pretension these places can get into.

Very serene. Worth the walk through Washington park. It has a few peaceful streams and a bonsai garden.

Lovely garden. A little tricky to get to (but only runs once an hour) but a great experience. Free tour was quite interesting.

I have to admit that I visited this attraction because of one tree. There's a maple here that is often photographed. Based on many photos of that spectacular tree, I decided to take advantage of some downtime at a conference and drive up the hill...More

Nice to loose yourself in another world for a time. Beautifully laid out, but will be even better when the expansion is complete.

Beautiful gardens and tranquil surroundings. Be prepared to walk as there is a decent amount of construction. Worth the walk.

Unsure of the route, but there are Trimet/MAX trains, bus, & trolley routes that well connect the city pretty much anywhere you need to go. Check the Trimet website for routes.

Hi Maureen - Great question! The Garden allows service animals, but, unfortunately, does not allow pets. We hope this helps you plan your visit.
