Cool park, great place to start in Portland

I biked along the Waterfront park and out it was a pretty cool place! You can enjoy a nice walk, bike ride or just chill in one of the many green areas. The only recommendation is... read more

I love Portland and this park was high on our list for a visit last week when we were in the city. It is nice for the locals that they have a place to run and bike and drive some type of cart along the river. But as a visitor I was disappointed because the river front is frankly a... More

I used to live in PDX and loved coming down to waterfront park to relax and also run. Came down midday for a run and was so disappointed. A very run down feel with no real life to it. Disappointing.

It was good to be off the street and walk along the river. Ample benches along the way and the Portland Saturday Market is right there under the bridge.

I biked along the Waterfront park and out it was a pretty cool place! You can enjoy a nice walk, bike ride or just chill in one of the many green areas. The only recommendation is to be aware of your belongings at some parts, since there are quite a few homeless people wandering around. While I want to think... More

We visited after the music festival during 4th of July weekend, so it was perhaps not quite as scenic as other times during the year, but I always love the chance to walk by the water!

If the weather is good, it's a very good place indeed to chill out or walk around. Plenty of activity on the river, views of the bridges that Portland is famous for, and plenty of activities, eateries and bars. Can be very busy on the weekend with the nearby market attraction.

This is the most beautiful place to view Portland waterfront and yet just across the street is Portland downtown. You can watch the ships and boats sail by, have a picnic, nap or read a book on the ample grass. Maybe you want to take the kids and let them play in the fountain...You could slip into the Riverplace for a... More

The Portland Saturday Market actually takes place on Saturdays and Sundays. The market has a great rule-whatever a vendor sells has to be made by the vendor. That makes for the opportunity to buy art, crafts, foods, soaps, etc. Lots of food is available from a variety of cultures- Polish, Thai, Hawaiian, etc. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Lovely waterfront area for a walk and to view all of Portland's bridges, but the homeless that congregate in the area diminish the experience and make it very uncomfortable to enjoy the overall experience. Also very difficult to walk when huge groups of runners are obstructing the path, and bikers are swerving thru the masses of people and you have... More

This is still a great place for walking, jogging, or running. You can enjoy views of the Willamette River bird life on land and water, Portland's architecture, and the many bridges for which Portland is known. You also have your choice of pedestrian-friendly bridges to cross to the other side. There are two things that made me give a Very... More
