My boyfriend and I ran here a couple mornings while visiting Portland. I was surprised at how many runners and bike riders were around at 6:30-7 in the morning! It was a peaceful and beautiful locale- I think about a mile and a half or...More

This is one of my favorite places in Portland, not only because It's the site of the Oregon Brewer's Festival (always the last full weekend in July!), but because It's so beautiful. It's right on the Willamette River and there are plenty of places to...More

This concrete walkway along the river is nice enough for a walk or bike ride in daylight as you have some trees, grass, art, and water. In the spring it is definitely worth it when the cherry trees are blooming. At night there are a...More

We walked part of the Waterfront Park in the late afternoon. There was plenty of shade and benches. It is a nice place to walk and watch the boats in the river. One thing to watch out for is all the homeless people asking for...More

We love this feature of Portland as it's literally a breath of fresh air, just steps from the downtown core. Great place for strolling, jogging, or bike riding. The park is "smoke free" too.

This is a popular walking and biking trail, especially in the evening when we visited. Although I originally thought I would go for a run the next morning, after seeing two runners being verbally attacked by the homeless, decided against it.

I enjoy this waterfront park, but each time I visit the homeless situation becomes a little worse. I don't know what the answer is, but whatever Portland's current strategy for dealing with its homeless population is, it isn't working. I didn't feel threatened, but if...More

Last visited 5 years ago, perhaps further south. While a nice scenic walk, there is just nothing on the north end. Many homeless sleeping there - no issues - but not attractive. Great view of the steel lift bridge (with a lower walking/biking deck) in...More

My family visited here late Sunday morning before heading out of town. It's a very nice walkway by the river with lots of joggers and bike riders. There's a floating paddle boat which is a Maritime Museum and a marina on the south end of...More

The waterfront park which is owned by the city of Portland is free except certain events. Even during events, one can still access to the park itself without any charge.
