A must see and do to your visit in Portland. Love to walk by the Waterfront Park, get a breath of fresh air by the River. Some homeless people around the park but they won't bother you, just keep walking. Great place to ride your bike or rent one. If you have time ride the "Portland Spirit", take a tour... More

Our first real visit to Portland, the girls (15 and 12) and I had a few days to burn while Mom was at a training seminar. Some local friends highly recommended visiting the waterfront. We walked the length of the park from north to south. The bridges over the Willamette were neat but that was about it. Patchy grass and... More

For a city as environmentally friendly and green as Portland, I was expecting a lot more from this waterfront park. The grass in August was dying/dead and had large areas of just dirt, which was a big disappointment. It's still worth a 15 minute stroll on a nice day, but this is certainly not worth any larger investment of time.

What a cute area! We walked through on our way to Oregon Bites. I wish we had more time to explore and tried out some of the restaurants.

I have been to many cities and this being my home town I might be a bit biased. The city of Portland is absolutely stunning from the waterfront. With the most bridges in a city in the US it is definitely a must see!

We were very disappointed in this park. It was a gathering place for the Portland homeless population. Quite sad seeing these poor people sleeping in doorways, urinating behind trees and bathing in the fountain. I guess the locals have become accustomed to seeing them, but as visitors we were quite surprised.

Perhaps my favorite all time fountain is at the Waterfront Park. It is alluring to adults and to kids on hot days... or just sitting and watching the folks stroll by.... a treat!

This is such a great park for hanging out and people watching. Go for a stroll along the river or just sit and watch some live musicians.

great places to walk and rest along the waterfront. The public transit train system Max is the way to get around even though it can be confusing for tourists in the downtown area. VooDoo donuts has insane varieties but be prepared to wait about 30 mins and pay about $17.00 for six donuts.

Thank Bill B
