The strip along 23rd Avenue and the immediate area is a good trifecta of interesting architecture, nice shops, and great restaurants. We've stayed near here three times now, and it is convenient to be able to walk a couple of blocks and have a choice...More

We walked to this area from our downtown hotel, which was a distance, but doable. There's some beautiful neighborhood walking there, as well as the most condensed area of tourist-like shopping and restaurants. We made a couple (yes 2!) pitstops at Breakside Brewery which had...More

The homes in this area are absolutely gorgeous. It's so lovely to walk around the streets of this area as well as to explore the shops and restaurants of 23rd and 21st streets, but parking is horrific. Easy to take a bus or the streetcar.

The Pearl District is the hot spot, but NW has much the same creative vibe in a chillax atmosphere. Cool homes on the side streets, cozy and inviting eateries on the main Avenues.

We loved Nob Hill. Lots of small shops and boutiques for any taste. The restaurants were plentiful and the food delicious.

one of the best streets in Portland, they now have meters which are watched frequently, so keep it updated.

Always fun to walk these streets: lots to see in casual fashion, imports and unusual --often novel-- shops,People watching is great and good restaurants make this area a must see in Pdx!
