Very pretty, very professional

The campus was very nice with lots of trees, shade, birds etc. there are fields that you can run around in and picnic as well as some tranquil ponds. It’s a very nice campus. Also the bus system there is very on time and professional.

Challenging, supportive small college
Dec 2017
I assume you'll be visiting Lewis and Clark College as a student or parent. It is a small, residential liberal arts college located in Portland. The campus was once an estate, since donated to the college. It is a beautiful, secluded campus on the top of a wooded hill overlooking the Willamette River. The college is a perfect place for a student looking for challenge, but not quite ready for the large public experience. An hourly shuttle makes downtown Portland accessible, and from there outstanding public transit covers the entire metro area. The college has many active clubs and groups where a student can find their people and become part of a community. Study abroad is actively encouraged, and with the international student body, this is a great place to become a world citizen.

Beautiful campus; elegant buildings; peaceful respite for learning while providing great course offerings
Feb 2017 • Family
We toured the campus, heard the information session, and met with professors as well as students during the visit. My high school junior found the campus to be really welcoming where students seemed to be passionate about their learning (we had a great guide!).

It's an incredibly beautiful campus and the students seem to appreciate the beauty while not being deterred by the rain.... always a plus when living in Portland!

We visited on a Saturday and found that all the dining options (there are only a few) closed after lunch. It was difficult to find a place to have a cup of coffee/tea while our kids were meeting with students and professors. Odd not to have more cafes/coffee shops open on campus. It seemed that all the students departed after lunch to go into downtown Portland. Perhaps that's why there are so few dining/cafe options open in the afternoon.

Beautiful and Tranquil Campus
Dec 2016
We visited to let our daughter check out the campus of a college where she was applying. The admissions staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. We got a full walking tour of the campus with introductions to the vintage buildings on campus as well as the nuts and bolts of what the college is about, how to apply, finances, etc. We ate lunch in one of the student cafeterias. Great food, big selection, good prices. The campus is beautiful and has an ambience of what a small liberal arts college should feel like. A relaxing, informative, and fun day.

Just a review of the grounds
Oct 2016
Ranked as one of the most beautiful college campuses in the US for a reason. Just walking around here is amazing. We took a college tour and it seems like an amazing educational experience as well. But, truly, a lovely place.

Beautiful campus meets nature.
Mar 2016 • Friends
We visited this campus because of a recommendation to see they beautiful gardens. They were right! The Campus is open to the general public and there are beautiful plantings, vistas and nature abound. We spent over 2 hours walking the trails and soaking up the gardens. The students there, have an amazing campus.
