We walked about three miles along the beach enjoying the sea stacks and the tidal pools. There was hardly anyone there and that made the experience even better. Try to walk at low tide.

Not far over the CA state line is Pistol River beach. The rugged rocky coastline makes you feel like you are in another country. Park in the pull-out/view area and find a trail to the beach. You might see one or two other people on...More

Driving down the coast, we spotted the huge boulders. We stopped & went down to the beautiful beach. No one else was around & it felt so secluded even though we were within eyesight of the coast highway. Loved to massiveness of the boulders together...More
