Good for close-in whale watching, tide pool exploring, and sand dune climbing. Watching the fishermen launching their boats from the sand (no dock on the beach) is fascinating. A big plus--there are several really good restaurants within a 10 minute drive from the beach.

It was so close to the water. A huge sand dune to climb. The sand was finer here than in Lincoln City we thought.

Free parking in the car park at the end of the beach. Well worth the exertion to get to the top of the dune. Some amazing views all round from the top but of it is windy you will be sand blasted. We spent 1hour...More

The sand dune is great to climb and beautiful views from the top! Make sure to walk around all the trails to the North and see the wonder of the Oregon Coast

First visit to Pacific City and I loved the beach! I'm sure it's different in the summer but in January parking is easy and there were plenty of people around, but it wasn't crowded. I will definitely return!

This is one of the most climbed dunes around and for good reason.....the view from the top is awesome if the hike up it doesn't kill ya.

Yes there are--they are at the top of the parking lot. As you look back towards the road from the parking lot next to the Pelican Brewing Co, you'll see an unmarked, non-descript small building on the upper left. That's it... More
