We had a beautiful time sitting and watching the fog roll in and made the sunset unique! We were staying at Honey Bear ByThe Sea RV Resort across the road. Lots of agates, and interesting rocks to collect!

Great little stop with a bathroom. Dogs are allowed off the leash on this beach which is great for the pup.

On our way out of Gold Beach we spotted a nice viewpoint just off the highway and had to stop. The walk down to the beach from the parking area is quick and the biggest waves we've seen along the Oregon Coast were at Ophir Beach. We saw sea lions too. This should be a more popular destination but because it isn't we loved it that much more.

Walking along the beach, minding our own business, a beach view resident happily cheered when their dogs charged us. They yelled 'sick 'em" in our presence. I have no desire to return to this community and spend my money ever again. Idiots like that are a disgrace to society. You can have it, losers.

Ophir beach is secluded and pristine. The four days we visited this beach we were the only ones. It has a large parking lot for cars and rvs. There's also restrooms.

Very peaceful beach for rock collecting. Gusty winds but able to escape behind a few dunes. Very little foot traffic as you are past Gold beach. Will definitely return.

Great RV park. All size site accommodations, ocean view and forest sites and tons of beautiful tent sites. Clean facilities. Very kid friendly with a great rec room and playground area. Loved the bar and grill. What a treat to arrive and settle down with a glass of wine or a cocktail.

Five miles of wide sandy beaches allow beachcombers to explore the tide pools, photographers to capture the sea stacks and tide pools. And fishing from a nearby stream. With numerous pull offs from the 101 there is great beach access. In addition, a state park has picnic tables and restroom facilities.

People, hosts, restaurant, and campground was wonderful. The only draw back was people who wouldn't have the decency to have their dogs stop barking on and on.

in the middle of tourist season, i walked for miles and did a good hour yoga on this beach and saw no one except around the parking lot/restroom. if what you're after is solitude and waves after waves on a classic sandy beach, this is it. it was hard to say good bye to this place.
