My husband and I went to Ontario OR and wanted to tour something interesting in the area. Melinda at the Holiday Inn told us about the Lake Owyhee S Park and the awesome views. So off went. The drive was nice and slow because of winding roads, but the views were great. Once we got to the Owyhee Dam the sights were worth the drive.

Wife and I fished the Owyhee River for two days. This river is in a canyon. The drive is spectacular with rock formations in this very dry and hotarea in the summer. Take the drive slow as the road conditions vary depending how much road repair was done last summer. It is paved but just barely in spots. It is about 90 min. from the dam back to Ontario.
