I used to like this store, in the previous years that I've visited, I've always had a good experience. However, when I tried to go in today with my service dog, the lady at the counter was very rude. Note: NOWHERE ON THE STOREFRONT IS THERE A SIGN THAT SAYS "PLEASE NO DOGS BECAUSE THERE'S A CAT IN THE STORE." There is a sign about no food/drinks, and not being on your phone, but nothing about dogs/service dogs. The lady at the counter very rudely said "umm, no. No dogs, I have a cat." Didn't specify cat in the store, just a cat somewhere. My service dog is very polite and mostly ignores cats, so we wouldn't have bothered one if it was in the store, but we weren't given a chance. This lady caused me to have a panic attack, when all I wanted to do was support the business by buying books. Guess I'll be going elsewhere for books when I'm in town. I'm very disappointed with how my service dog and I were received.

Needed some reading material and happened to find this great little place. They have a huge selection of mystery and a really decent selection of horror--both of which i was looking for. Found enough of what I wanted I ended up going back a second time. Would definitely recommend.

I really enjoy reading a good 'beach book' when on vacation at the coast, and this is the perfect store to find an inexpensive used book. The store is located on the west side of 101, right near the intersection of 101 and Hurbert Street. There is parking in the small lot just to the west, but no RV parking.

I usually wander back directly to the 'mystery' section, since mystery/suspense books are my favourite. There are all kinds of books though, enough to please everybody's taste. This bookstore is independently owned.

It's close enough to walk to if you're staying in the Nye Beach area and is no more than 5 minutes' walk from the hotels on Elizabeth Street.
