It was fun and educational to participate in creating a glass object. The staff was friendly and gave clear guidance as to what needed to be done. The activity was not difficult but needed some attention to detail as you followed the instructions. You do come out of the session with a much better understanding of how glass objects are made and how some of the effects are created.

They allow 2 people into the fabrication area: one to help with making the object, and one person to watch/photograph. We also especially appreciated that the staff spent time to explain what was going on and talk about the history of glass with the members of our group who had to watch the glass making through the window.

We really enjoyed the experience with the glass blowing class, we discovered that glass blowing is such an artistic process. Each of our pieces are so unique and
our instructor was very talented in her craft guiding us thru building our bowl and large float. Shop was very clean and staff was excellent to work with.
There is a cost for each project but the facility is very well done and safe.

What a great experience participating in creating a glass project out of a blob of clear glass and some tiny colored pebbles. This was super fun for my son and me. The facilitator was skilled, funny, and very engaging. We got to use tools to shape, pull, and cut the glass at various stages of production. We each got complete decision making to choose a project (sea star, bowl, heart, etc.), the colors we wanted, and the pattern we wanted our piece to contain (swirl, etc.) There are plenty of examples from which to choose to help make your decision. Pieces are ready the following day shortly after they open, so don't plan a trip if you are heading out of town first thing the next morning. They do ship for you, but you won't have the piece with you if you care about that. I would definitely do this again if I am back in the area.

A gift shop where YOU CAN MAKE YOUR OWN GLASSWORKS? Yes, please!
I had a lot of fun making a lovely glass float which I’m going to turn into a nightlight.
The only downside about this place is that it’s expensive. (The cheapest glasswork projects are around $75! I only got to go because I was given a gift.) But you you have the money to blow (pun intended) it’s totally worth it!

Note: This activity is not encouraged for pregnant women. Also, you must make an appointment ahead of time.

It was fun. We got to choose our piece and color palette. Make a reservation online. ASAP as spaces do fill up quickly. There were many folks that walked in and wanted to experience glassblowing, but they were booked. Glassblowing requires patience. Glad it's not my full-time job, but also grateful that an experience graffer was there to guide me. I messed up and was called a bad child, which was understandable. It gave me a good chuckle. Super glad she took over in the end.

My Mother has always wanted to go and blow glass, so with her Birthday just around the corner we decided it would be a good gift, we called and made an appointment and the lady assured us we would have a good time. We arrived on Saturday morning and my Mom was very excited indeed. We went to check in and found that we had been double booked and they could not cit us in till 'about' an hour later if that. To tell the truth I dont think the guy had much clue as to what was going on. Very dissapointed indeed as it was a birthday gift and we had driven quite a distance to be there, why they did not call and let us know escapes me! They had my number. I will not be back and would not recommend them to anyone, customer service is paramount in my opinion, and that being said politeness costs nothing

So sorry for your experience, we do work hard to make all our clients visits with us a wonderful memory. We did not hit the mark or close for you and your family. For that I am truly sorry. As business owner's we never want an unhappy customer. However we are dependant upon human employees, and their commutes. The timing and knowlege that our gaffer was late came to us to late to accomodate your timeframe. For that I appolgize. I would offer you a free class is you choose to give us one more try. Again Happy Birthday late and our appoligies for your drive and dissappointment.

The shop is gorgeous. Kris and T were amazing!! Incredibly patient and they explained everything so you felt confident shaping this high heat product. We will definitely go back. I've been to the coast dozens of times and had never tried it. I should have years ago! Loved this experience.

My husband and I were celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary. We were looking for something to do or have as a remembrance. When we pulled up to this studio and saw the sign to make your own float, I knew we had found our memory. Chris was patient yet made it all so easy. We took turns creating our globe together and had so much fun doing it. It was a high light of our weekend away. Such a unique experience. We are already talking about making it a tradition each year. Great people, easy going atmosphere and a fun, fun time!

I took a group of 10 people to try glassblowing, and we were all amazed at what we were able to do with the excellent guidance of the staff here. A fun and different thing to do. And we all left with treasured reminders of a fun afternoon.
