It's great for older kids maybe before they get to be teenagers tho. Mostly science experiments dealing with the ocean.

The five year old sure loved all the fish tanks. We enjoyed the fact we didn't have to shell out a fortune to see what the other place was charging a stack of coin for.

This wasn't our first stop here, nor will it be our last. Affiliated with OSU, this museum is full of fun things to see and do packed into a compact space. To date, we have yet to be there when an octopus is on display, but they do have one there as much as possible. We stopped here this time... More

We have visited the Hatfield Marine Science Center at least once a year for the past 15 years and the kids have loved it from a very early age to their late teens and early adulthood. They want to go back every time we are in that part of the Oregon coast. The hands-on science exhibits are extremely well designed... More

learned a lot about the Oregon Coast. Planned on 15-20 minutes but we spent 2 hours as it was very interesting and also enjoyed their movie that kept playing continuous.

They have done a great job here. We truly enjoyed our visit to the Hatfield Marine Science Center. We were wishing we had more time. A lot of hands on things for the kiddos, including a touch tank. This is a by donation facility so if you are on a budget or just short on time, it is a great... More

Must-visit center for the educational experience. Lots of great exhibits focusing on more scientific aspects of marine ecology. This is an especially great place to visit if it's raining outside. Unfortunately, the octopus is AWOL.
