We are a friendly, family owned and operated office offering premium ocean sport fishing charters for Albacore Tuna, Rockfish, Halibut, and Salmon. Rockfishing trips are available year-round, but Tuna, Halibut, and Salmon keep us very busy from May through September. We do not overcrowd our boats and have a maximum load of 16 fisherman for Rockfish, 12 for Halibut and Salmon, and 10 for Tuna on our two large boats. Private parties may bring as few or as many people desired up to 30. We run two twin 43ft. Deltas, the Crackerjack and Gracie K, and we also have a smaller 27ft. 6-pack boat named the Jana Sea which allows 6 maximum passengers for premium trips. We're located right next to the Embarcadero Resort Hotel in Newport on the Historic Bayfront.

Planned a weekend birthday trip in the middle of August. My husband and I booked this charter last minute the day before. We were booked for a different charter for salmon fishing on Saturday, I felt awful that morning and not up to getting on a boat. Thinking I would be recovered by Sunday, we booked this charter online- such... More

I booked this trip 3 months in advance and it was such a smooth process. The lady I spoke with was professional and nice and gave great recommendations as to what trip we should take. We ended up booking the half day rock fishing with the crabbing experience. It started out great...our 10 and 7 year old boys were really... More

My group was looking for a fishing outing, and settled on the ten hour Halibut/Bottom fishing trip. Overall it was a great day! Yaquina Bay Charters keeps their fishing groups at a dozen or less, which gives the Captain and Mate ample time to assist individuals as needed. We spent the first four hours fishing for Halibut - the seas... More

My son and I have been going out with Tradewinds for years and we decided this year to switch to another charter company in the wake of a pretty bad experience with Tradewinds last year. We chose Yaquina Bay based on reviews, location and the smaller group sizes they advertised. Captain Jack was manning the checkin desk when we arrived... More

My son and I booked this on the last minute and had a great time, our Captain Chet, went out of his way to explain how to work the rods for our best fishing experience. After having a poor experience the day before with a different outfit it was nice to find one that acted like they appreciated your business.... More

My Grandson and I planned a full day of crabbing and fishing for his first visit to the Pacific Ocean. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate but we were still able to get a few hours in with Captain Chet who got us crabs and Black rockfish AND back to port unscathed in deteriorating weather. Can't say enough good things about... More

Eight of us joined Captain Jack for a great morning of fishing and crabbing. None had ever been deep sea fishing before, and it was the dream of a lifetime for a 71 year old fisherman. Everyone caught fish, and the help we had was great. What a fun way to end our Oregon Holiday.

We had a splendid time off-shore Halibut fishing with Capt. Shannon on the Gracie K. He was determined that we all get our fish, and we did! He was friendly and helpful. We had a blast.

I had a trip planned with my father-in-law to do some bottom fishing. Neither of us had fished in a long time and we were looking forward to doing this together. However, the day before the trip, I received a call and email from the office saying that our trip had been canceled. We were already in town, and had... More
