There were more camp hosts than campers during our mid week stay. The rain never let up the whole time we were here so we didn't get to enjoy the nice pathways to the beach or the playground equipment. We did have hot water showers but there wasn't any lights when my husband had to use the bathroom or when... More

This state park is close to the beach, there are walking path that go thru the woods along the beach, with access to the beach. Large RV parking and all is clean and very peaceful. It is about two miles from Newport.

We actually just drove through to check out the park for a camping trip next year. The camping area is awesome, with places for RVs, tents, and a good number of yurts. It is pretty close to the beach, and has a nice day use area.

This is our first time camping in Newport even though we've come to this town many times before. We stayed over one night in a Yurt. There are two types of Yurts, basic and deluxe. We stayed in the basic. It had a bunk bed, and a futon. One small table, mirror. Included was a small garbage can, small heater... More

Thank you for your review! We have been getting a lot of requests for having more accommodations for pets, so we have decided to dedicate another 12 yurts to become "Pet Friendly" starting January 1, 2017. Beginning that date, you can make reservations for any of our 14 Pet Friendly yurts up to 9 months in advance. We hope this... More

We chose this campground to use as a base to explore between Heceta Head lighthouse and Depoe Bay. It was a perfect location and being close to Newport made grocery and shopping easy. The campground is surrounded by trees so you are definitely able to enjoy a peaceful break on the coast. Campground roads were great for walking and biking,... More

I have been to the day use park, but hadn't had a chance to try out the campground until this last weekend. First of all this review only applies to tent camping. I don't know what it is like to RV camp here. it is a beautiful campground. The camping sites are close together, but there are so many trees... More

We booked 5 nights in the middle of August, middle of the week, using Reserve America. The process for the reservation was good however you could easily get in to a lot of trouble if you have a bigger unit. We booked a 47' spot for our 40' fifth wheel but due to trees and angles it was almost impossible... More

This campground is too crowded.... Why not just park your TV in a parking lot? The facilities are fine... Staff are fine... No complaints there... And the obsolete loud fog?.... You get used to this....I guess

My new favorite camp ground, the park hosts were kind and helpful, many activities like horseshoes, bike rentals, and Community s'mores. Excellent well thought out layout for the yurts, short beautiful walk to the beach. The campsites look spacious and comfortable as well. I felt so lucky I was able to snag a reservation!! Unusually cold weekend in August 2016,... More

My daughter and I stayed in a yurt and found it clean, warm, and nicely laid out--typical of the Oregon Park system. Our stay was marked by sunshine and rain, and our yurt served us perfectly in both conditions. The paved walk/bike trails running parallel to the beach at this park are very good, offer several beach access points, and... More
