if i can offer you one bit of advice for your visit to newport, skip the forgettable over-priced desserts at every restaurant in the harbor and instead stop into 2 Kids Candy Store while you wait to be called for your table at Clearwater. This store will transport your back to your childhood no matter how old you are. I found all of my favorite treats! the bulk bags allowed me to get a little bit of everything and for less than $13 my husband and I got WAY more candy than we needed, all of our favorite things and even some purse candy for, ya know, "emergencies". This place is THE BEST.

There is so much to choose from here at this specialty candy store. The pleasant staff is very willing to help you with choosing chocolates from under the glass counter, of which there is a large variety. I purchased several chocolate items, each of which was truly excellent. Sometimes these store are recognized for their inventory over the quality. 2 Kids can take pride in that every one of the chocolate items I purchased were excellent!

Definitely had to stop in for some salt water taffy while by the sea! And especially bc I’d never had any before lol! Out of all the candy stores we stopped in to compare taffy flavors, this store had, by far, the cleanest taffy bins and freshest taffy we found!
The staff were very helpful and welcoming. Covid safety measures were followed as much as possible. They had all sorts of stuff, chocolates, truffles, popcorn, any type of candy you might want, and an insane amount of taffy flavors! Even chicken-and-waffles and cayenne pepper!!
Their taffy is soft and full of flavor! I tried to take pics of the different taffy bins so I could identify them later but it is still hard to tell which one is which though lol! My only suggestion for improvement would be to maybe give out a “menu” or card or something with pics so we can tell which flavors are which...otherwise it’s all good here!

Probably don't need to say much more than we'd definitely go back if in the area. There were so many choices of taffy, I'm surprised we aren't still there trying to decide. Prices were reasonable and the shop had a lot to offer. Many other shops in the same area to stop and shop in as well.

Tons of taffy flavors to choose from. Fun little place to stop in and just look around. Fun to see candies of old and some you have never heard of. Lots of chocolates in the cases to choose from.

Let me start by saying I love caramel corn.
We were in Newport for the weekend.
Walking down the street of the bay front.
My wife wanted to get me some fresh caramel corn. We passed on by a shop down a block or two because they refused our ccard and insisted on cash only. So we found ourself in front of this store.
My wife went in, took a really long time to come out. But what she was carrying was what I hoped was a large bag of brown deliciousness.
Then I found out this large bag of caramel corn costs over 23.00.
Did I say holy crap in the title of this review...?? That’s got to be the most expensive caramel corn in the word.
We got in the car, went out to dinner, went back to our room to munch on some of this brown gold....(gold would have been cheaper).
Nasty, burnt, only small pieces in the bag.
No large clumps like there should be. Nothing golden brown, but only dark burnt caramel stuck to millions of small crumbs. It simply was not edible. We threw it out it was so badly burnt.
Never will we be back to this store. Never will we recommend this store.
What a rip off. What a disappointment.
I wish I could give less than one star rating.

We’ve had taffy all over the coast in Oregon and this place? This place has the absolute BEST taffy of all of the candy shops! (And if you’re looking at this, you know how many different shops there are!) Prices are about the same as everywhere else, plenty of flavors, and a variety of treats, too. Don’t forget your free piece of taffy!

Had chocolate dipped s’mores, peanut butter cup and double stacked Oreos. Sinfully delicious but pricey. Worth trip down to the bayfront.
