Fall colors in the vineyards
Nov 2018 • Couples
Charming, Pinot Noir is the central point but the Pinot Gris is floral and fruity. Right off the highway and romantic views of the vineyard in the back. Really friendly people.

Great body!

Kevin treated to a wonderful morning tasting many wines at this vineyard. We got to see the process of the wine making and meet the owner also. We bought several bottles and highly recommend this venue!

Great small winery
Jul 2017 • Couples
Anna and the staff at Archer saved our afternoon. We were looking for a relaxing place to sample wines and had just left another winery that was neither quiet or relaxing. We are not familiar with the area and found Archer on a whim. So glad we did!
Anna expertly walked us through a flight of wine for my wife while I sampled a glass of their pinot gris. We sat outside on a beautiful shady deck overlooking the vineyard. They are far enough from any main roads that we did not hear any traffic noise the entire time there. Very relaxing and we have already recommended this to friends and family.

We're so glad that you found some peace in wine country here! The maple tree deck can be a great refuge when you are whisking through the area sampling all of the amazing wines the area has to offer. Thanks for recommending us!

Friendly Staff, Great Wine
Aug 2016 • Couples
This is a small winery with very personal staff that make all feel welcome. The staff takes the time to explain the history of the vineyard and all particulars of the wines you'll taste. The views are great. It's well worth the stop.

Best Winery we Visited
Jul 2016
Archer Vineyards was our favorite place. We tasted six great wines for only $12! Sarah was extremely knowledgeable and taught us newbies about how to wine taste. They have a beautiful deck with beautiful views. I would highly recommend!

Yay! Can't wait to make it back!

My friends and I had just come from a wine member lunch of sorts down the road at another spot and someone suggested we stop in here, for a tasting on the way back to town. The gal working was a sweetheart, very fun and personable. When my boyfriend said he wasn't going to have any wine, she offered beer. Not sure how often they are going to be doing that or if they still even are (I was here weeks ago!), but it was definitely a nice touch for the non wino in the group. They have a lot of wines to bring to the table, new label, logo etc. I was impressed to say the least. Our tasting room hosts brother came out and shared a few words with us, got us to sign up for the newsletter so we can stay in touch and hear about upcoming events for the summer.

I live nearby and I'm definitely making plans to make it out there again, just next time not so rushed. I'd love to sit out on their beautiful patio the next time I'm there- to enjoy the view. It's a nice property, cute tasting room and a fabulous staff. It's also one of the first stops on your way into Newberg, so you can either plan to have it as one of your first stops or one of your lasts on the way back to Portland. Easy to find right off the 99. My friend purchased several bottles and I purchased one of their white wines, which was on the sweeter side...something I'm typically not a huge fan of, but I really enjoyed there. Wish I remembered which bottle it was, but alas, I've already shared it with friends at a bbq recently.

Looking forward to coming out again soon and perhaps for one of their events.

Enthusiastic New...ish Winery - good wine and great people!

At least half the fun of wine tasting is the Tasting Room experience, I think. At Archer Vineyard's tasting room today, we had an outstanding experience (and we bought two delicious bottles of their 2014 Pinot Gris).

First time visitors, we somehow missed the obvious main door, so came in the back door which leads to their very nice outdoor seating overlooking a wonderful view of the coastal mountains to the west. Sarah came outside, welcomed us and offered to pour our tastings outside. We said, "Thanks, but we can come to the bar." She and her brother, Daniel, were friendly and knowledgeable and happy to tell the "origin" story of this relatively new winery. If you're in the area, give Archer a try. They specialize in Pinot Gris and (surprise, surprise) Pinot Noir. Prices are reasonable and the tasting fee is waived with the purchase of a bottle. Know that you'll be warmly welcomed.

Average Oregon Winery

The property is awesome but we found the wine and hospitality to be an average experience for the area. There is potential here but it isn't ready for prime time in the wine making department.

Beautiful views and lovely people
Apr 2016
My boyfriend and I spent the weekend wine tasting in the area, and we fell in love with Archer. Luckily, we were there right after the tasting room opened to the public, and I'm so happy we got to experience it. We had a lovely tour, a delicious tasting, and ate our lunch on the patio with a glass of rose in the sun. Highly recommend a tasting experience here!

A 'must visit' for Pinot lovers[both Gris & Noir]
Sep 2015 • Couples
My husband and I bought an 'Oregon Wine Passport', in order to do some tastings at some of the numerous wineries in Oregon. Usually, there is a 'tasting fee' that may or may not be waived if you purchase their wines. With the 'passport', many wineries waive the tasting fee and offer discounts for your purchases.Long story short, the first winery we visited was Archer Vineyards. We were welcomed warmly and told that there were 6 wines available to taste that day. The wines were fantastic and substantial snacks were provided to accompany the wines. The staff were knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The setting was lovely...on a hill overlooking the vineyards. Staff encouraged bringing your own lunch and enjoying the view from their patio. This is somewhere we will visit again!
