Everything about this experience was fantastic. Friendly, professional people on the ground and piloting the balloon. Awe-inspiring beauty. Magical flight. We were both nervous and slightly scared of heights, but the ride was so smooth and gentle that all anxiety quickly melted away. Our pilot was extremely competent and kind. Helping inflate the balloon at the beginning and helping to pack it away at the end was also quite fun! To finish the dreamy ride off with beautiful champagne toast with the owner and delicious buffet breakfast in the field was icing on the cake. It was a most memorable and joy-filled morning. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Interaction with flyers and pilot was great. Flyers encouraged to get involved in unloading and loading the balloon. Perfect weather. Actual touch down on the Willamette River. Beautiful.

Just back from an amazing Vista Balloon Adventure. This was a bucket list experience gift from my partner for a big milestone birthday. Always a risk those bucket list experiences will fall short of expectations. Definitely not the case here. Just us and our awesome pilot, Kelly, soaring above Oregon farmland and wine country on a spectacular summer day. Pierre (the business owner) and his son Garrett served as our ground crew and were fun and incredibly hospitable. Everyone associated with the Vista operation -- including the many capable volunteers -- radiated friendliness, helpfulness, and core competency. The devil, they say, is in the details. These folks get those details right -- from the moment you lay eyes on the balloons getting ready to sail at sunrise to the last bite (and sip) of the terrific post-flight champagne brunch. First rate all the way!!!

My husband and I went on the Mosaic Balloon which only holds two passengers plus the pilot, so we had a private experience with the balloon ride to ourselves which was a surprise as we got this wonderful upgrade. The colorful balloon was beautiful, as your looked up through the center past the burners it looked like looking into a kaleidoscope. We had lovely views of luminous Mt. Hood, Mt. Jefferson, Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Rainier, and 3 Sisters, as well as Hagg Lake and we floated along above the Willamette River. We came down to the surface of the Willamette River which provided a lovely reflection of our balloon and even us briefly. The nearby treetops loomed around us as we glided down to the waters surface. The champagne brunch was delicious including a salmon dip and crackers, yogurt with all the trimmings, quiche, and delectable brownies. Thanks to our wonderful pilot and crew we were set down alongside a corn field after gently gliding through the tops which was rather fun as my family used to grow corn.

It was thrilling and beautiful, even awe-inspiring. And the crew were capable and caring. Everyone was really nice, both crew and passengers, but I imagine if the passengers weren't well-behaved, they'd be threatened to be thrown out of the basket! (just kidding) One thing that almost went wrong was finding the place in the dark (before dawn). We don't have GPS and hadn't properly studied our map ahead, so it was our fault, but it would have helped if they'd had some lighted signs leading us there.
