I talked the whole family into going to see the Ghost Forest, which was pretty cool, but the best thing was Proposal Rock and the amount of sea fog that enveloped the place while we were there. The parking lot is a little bit of a walk through sane away, but it wasn't too bad. There is a stream crossing, so hike up your pants and walk across (brr..) and check out the Ghost forest and the cliffs on the south end. Then we walked over to Proposal Rock and checked out the tide pools on the sea side of it. We then followed the stream around on the beach side and checked out the wave. We finished off the little trip with ice cream form the trailer out by the road at Café on Hawk Creek and walked around Neskowin Trading Company. It was a good 3 or so hours.

This is our 1st time in Oregon and specifically stayed in Oregon Coast to see the beaches as much as we can. The weather was not too nice when we came maybe next time will. Overall, this one is our least favorite beach. We had fun exploring the caves nearby though.

Beautiful, quiet beach - great for long walks, gentle dogs, and family fun. This area is a micro-climate, usually cooler and mistier than surrounding beaches. Next to a lovely little village with a nine-hole golf course, good coffee at Neskowin Provisions, and excellent meals/pizza at Hawk Creek Cafe (with a Tillamook ice cream truck out front). Less tourists, more history.
