Great place to see

The museum has a new exhibit 'Milwaukie Kids, growing up in the good old days" that is great. They had an opening ceremony with local speakers including Mike Richardson, owner of Dark Horse Comics who grew up in Milwaukie. New exhibits and friendly people, worth the trip any time!

A Little Gem

You have to be very strategic about your visit as the open hours are very limited. I went one hot Saturday afternoon and it was super-cool! I learned a lot about Milwaukie history in a very short time. They have an incredible research room I cannot wait to go back to! I'm working on a book set in the area and I will definitely have to come back for more info.

We have not been in awhile- time to go back! They have a LOT of really neat stuff. It is a small place so things are crammed in there. Fun to be able to touch a beaver pelt and other items you may have only read about.Plan some time so you can take it all in!

Great little museum and fantastic historical local resource

The volunteers that staff this museum are historians who live in Milwaukie and are proud of their city's history. Ask them anything and, if they don't know the answer, they will find the answer for you.

Charming little Museum.

This small museum is located in a former farmhouse built in 1865. It is full of great old household items, pictures, local memorabilia and a good reference section for local research. Upstairs you will see vintage toys and a wonderful "permament" machine. Guided tours can be arranged for school classes, scouts etc. or just drop by for a visit on Saturdays or Sundays from 1-5PM.
