I’m autistic and have difficulty when people talk down to me. I did inform management and our guide of my special need but that didn’t matter. We had a guide named Geoff who made sexual comments to my wife and spoke down to us the entire trip. He showed up under the influence and complained about us. We had been promised a female guide. That never happened and Lisa the office manager and Brett the fishing manager lied to us about returning there. The entire staff needs training to work with special needs guests instead of banning them. If you need people to work with your special need stay away from Morrison’s they simple don’t care and lie to make their job easier.

At Morrison’s, we highly value customer service and strive to provide a great experience on the Rogue River for all of our guests and do not discriminate against anyone. We apologize if you felt that our staff were insensitive to your needs and for the miscommunication in regards to certain aspects of the trip. Geoff is a highly requested guide with years of experience and knowledge working the Rogue River. We wish you the best as you continue your angling adventure. -Morrison's Rogue Wilderness Lodge Management

AMAZING! Our family of 4, including twenty year-old daughters, rafted on the Rogue River for 3 days. All sort of groups on the trip - older couples, girlfriends - any group works. The River was beautiful - tons of gorgeous scenery. When we were there, the rapids were not too tough but still fun. The stops we made along the River were so interesting - everything from very short hikes to jumping off cliffs into water (if you want to do it). Food on the river and at the lodges was fabulous. The lodges were a great experience. They were comfortable and had everything we needed. Not luxurious but that made it all the more of an "adventure". Plus you were so tired at night you were happy to go to sleep at 10 after a delicious meal. The guides were so fantastic. They told great stories about the river and they were so fun! They worked so hard for us! I cannot say enough amazing things about them! This trip was really indescribable. A great way to disconnect from your regular life. Can't wait to do it again. We may go hiking the next time!

Four days of HIKING was absolutely beautiful and our guides JBlue and Ryan were the BEST. Lodges were rustic as expected and very clean and comfortable. Stayed prior and post hike nights at Morrison's because of advertised four course gourmet dinners. What a disappointment dinners were. The "second course" on both nights consisted of orange sweet rolls which were very good but would have been perfect for breakfast and not considered a dinner course. However, the dinner the guides cooked for us the second night at Black Bar Lodge was the BEST meal of the entire trip!! Food at other lodges just OK. Most items prepared were overcooked. That being said, the hiking part of the trip and guide prepared lunches brought my rating back up to 4 stars. Be prepared to hike more than the trail miles each day as you will be hiking down to river for breaks and lunch and then back up to trail as well as hiking off the trail to the lodges and any exploring you might want to do. It is not a trail you can really take your time on as you need to be on time for breaks and lunch and then checking in. I was walking quite fast but I'm 70 so it may not be considered fast for younger people. I clocked 44 hiking miles over the four days and 5 miles on the river raft the last day. Yes, I would do this again and have recommended it to friends.

This is going to be an informative rave review...! We went with another couple on a 4 day "hiking/rafting" trip for 46 miles in 4 days down the Rogue River with Morrisons Rogue Wilderness Adventures and loved it. Like some others we had to postpone our 2020 trip due to COVID but Morrisons allowed us to reschedule for this past September and it was worth the wait! There were 9 of us in our entire group + 3 river guides (Forrest, Sophia and Raphael) who were terrific. The guides operate the rafts, prepare snacks and lunch and one evening made supper for us all. They were young, energetic, fun to be with, but also seriously safe and knowledgeable. Typically we would hike in the morning and then have 3 opportunities to switch to the raft in the afternoon if that was what we wanted - it is what my wife and I did, 5 to 8 miles of walking each day and then a relaxing float down the beautiful river. Our entire group was pretty much over 60, (I'm 73 and diabetic) and this was about the best experience we could imagine. We hiked up and down along the river, through moss covered oak, fir, madrone, and manzanita groves. We stayed in lodges at night that provided supper and breakfast. Some were rustic but all were clean and seemed to get fancier as we progressed down river. It was an invigorating holiday, nice to be away from the news, and a very pleasant opportunity to meet interesting people...Young and old!

Took a camp/lodge three day trip with girlfriends. Food was excellent, guides kept us safe and in the boat. The river is beautiful and it was great to have this time away from civilization. Would have liked a little more activity - for some reason they didn't have us paddle much. Wasn't happy about lack of covid safety on the shuttle. But over all , it was a super fun trip and YES I would recommend this to others.
