Darkwing Manor is beautifully restored home set into spooky woods and farm fields. The attention to detail is fabulous, as the Baron and Baroness are fanatical in their collection! Their furniture collection is also beautifully restored! I highly recommend it; check their facebook page to see what events are happening.

This is the real thing.
Hosted by The Baron and Baroness, a vampire couple, the “haunt” begins with a tour of the funeral parlor, then a trip outside through several acres of fog-drenched, spooky grounds filled with graveyards, mausoleums and truly frightening characters. The Baroness is an actual museum curator of funereal artifacts, and the house is a restored Queen Anne Victorian. Each year the exhibits are updated, new ones are created, and the staff of “minions” are well turned-out as Victorian-age zombies, witches, vampires, wandering mourners, gravediggers, devils, vampire pirates, and a few real historic characters from the area. Attention to make-up and dress is essential, and much like a Renaissance Faire, characters must be approved in order to maintain historic relevance. A few past exhibits have been The Vampire’s Lair, Zombie Quarantine area, the Mad Scientist’s Lab, the Haunted Corn Field, and of course, the funeral parlor inside, which one must tour first as an introduction.
You will be scared.
If you are a true haunt aficionado, this one is worth traveling for. If you are local, you’ve probably already heard of it, but if not, it’s worth a visit every year to see what’s new.
Due to its truly haunting nature, children under 8 are discouraged.
One more important detail: This haunt is a fundraiser. Each year the Baron and Baroness select a local charity to benefit.

This was a great time, but unfortunately they have decided not to return next year or probably ever again. They are considerate neighbors and didn't want to trash their neighbors' fields with parking any more. Thanks for holding this charity event!

Every Halloween the home owners turn their house and yard into a crazy fun time of a haunt! The yards are set up with al sorts of special effects and they have what seems like over 100 volunteer "characters" to run, spook and freak you out. I wouldn't expect anything less. a must visit Halloween spook for sure! We will be there again next year, if it doesn't rain.
