The Collaborative Theater Project is an undiscovered gem in Medford. My wife and I have seen two productions so far and enjoyed them both immensely.
The Snow Queen was a re-telling of the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale. I found myself digging deeper into the roots of the story after seeing the production. For me that's a sure sign that the play made an impression.
These days who doesn't need a little more levity in their life? Leading Ladies kept me laughing from start to finish. I've often heard that comedy is tough to get right, but CTP really nailed it.
The casts of both plays were fantastic, and it's clear that CTP is really putting a lot of heart into each production. The CTP theater (near Tinseltown) provides an intimate and comfortable venue. I highly recommend it.

Went and saw Leading Ladies - so much fun! A very professional show with talented actors. This theater definitely holds its own against OSF - especially with its pricing. Ushers and staff are very kind, and they have an impressive variety of plays. Bonus; the space is small, so you get a good seat pretty much wherever you sit. Also, parking is super great.

CTP is one of the few if not the only theatre in the area working in collaboration with local artists. As we entered the long hallway to the theatre we realized we were really entering an art gallery. We have taken our teenage daughter to several plays and every two months it is a completely new environment. They sell the artist's work with only a minimal commision so the purchase really goes to the artist!
The wonderful imagery continues as you enter the theatre. The stage is top quality and the costumes are always spot on for the productions & devine! CTP also works with other theatres to bring you the best actors and directors around as we saw in the most recently acclaimed "Leading Ladies" where they borrowed a director from the Oregon Caberet Theatre in Ashland.
Coming soon on the art scene is local mosaic favorite, Karen Rycheck. So go see some plays and take home some art!

As a Medford resident, avid audience member and participant in local theater, I'm always impressed by the spectrum of talent available to our valley. Although formed by a collection of seasoned theater veterans, Collaborative Theatre Project is the gutsy new kid on a very vital block. Across the mall from Tinseltown in the Medford Center, Collaborative's home base combines sophistication with relaxed hospitality. The lobby features the work of local artists, the staff is friendly and professional, and the theater, a state of the art black box, offers comfortable stadium seating. There are no bad seats. All of the productions in the company's first season have been excellent, extremely well acted and directed, with stunning production values. To date I have seen all the shows, ranging from a steam punk pop rock Snow Queen, an edgy perspective on teen angst in Dog Sees God, a hilarious and perfectly timed farce in Leading Ladies, and a beautiful and deeply moving Jacques Brel; and we're only about halfway through a season that will continue with a Tennessee Williams, a musical Bonnie and Clyde and a very spooky Woman In Black. Not to mention Collaborative's other programs, including musical theater in the parks and readers' theatre productions of vintage radio plays. I could go on forever, but I'll end by simply saying, go. A visit to Collaborative will reward you with satisfying entertainment while you are here and add a treasured memory to the souvenirs of your visit.

I have been to every play that Collaborative Theatre Project (CTP) has put on. The venue is beautiful and not one seat in the house is a bad seat. Each play has been done professionally and with live music. I have seen most plays twice, taking a friend the second time. If you are in Medford, this is a must visit place! Check it out!

I took my 12 and 9 year old to see an amusing farce (Leading Ladies) here and it did not disappoint. The theatre is intimate and cosy, the staging and play were excellent, the prices are very reasonable and parking is plentiful. It is a great and reasonably priced evening out.

My family and friends went to see Leading Ladies and it was hilarious! So much energy and with the intimate setting of the theater, you could really feel it. The acoustics were great too.
The Collaborative Theatre Project is conveniently located in the Medford Center, which is soon to see a total overhaul. CTP is at the center of this burgeoning entertainment vortex. Can't wait to go back!

This is my favorite theatre in the Rogue Valley due to the consistent quality of the performances. From Tuck Everlasting and the truly eerie Lady in Black and other Halloween shows, these performances are well cast, the sets are well thought out , the musicals sound great/ acoustics are exceptional and the cozy venue make this a theatre you will want to come back to again and again. Parking is easy, there are restaurants in the shopping center and you can make a night of it. You will not be disappointed.

Overall & through several years, I find the selection of topics varied & most interesting, not just the more "popular" topics & stage prodiuctions. The quality of the performers is also consistenmtly very good to excellent.
