We recently spent some time at Howard Prairie. We took a hike to Willow Point which was not only scenic, but we also saw deer in various areas. We took a boat ride on the lake which was very pleasant. Our friends were able to catch three good-sized trout within one hour! The camp hosts were also very friendly! The... More

Originally from Oregon the lakes are amazing, the mountains and fresh air is breath taking. If you have the chance to witness Howard Prairie Lake after the winter has hit and still has signs of snow you will love it. The water has an aqua blue look.

It is way up in the mountains so it did not get very warm. Very far from town, so don't forget anything! The lake is really for fishing... My kids tried to swim, but I got too nervous after we found multiple fishing hooks. Both bathrooms, although they were kept clean, were not "close" to camp. The one closest to... More

We have camped here multiple times and love it. The staff at the store and the boat marina are fantastic and go above and beyond. Camp sites are clean and camp hosts are friendly, showers are free and bathrooms always have been clean!

Friendly, helpful staff at the store/restaurant and marina. Clean and beautiful! No wi-fi reception, which forced my teens to "unplug" and unwind -- relaxing! Cool mountain breezes allowed an escape from the valley's hot weather. The Resort's ice cream cookie sandwiches were yummy.

Beautiful place out in the mountains. The park I went to had a small store with food and drinks, which is nice. I have AT&T and had mostly no service. Lots of picnic tables, nice bathrooms and a great view. We set up our hammocks out here and enjoyed the nice breeze and relaxed.

Jackson County has quite a very good parks. This one is excellent! Nice campsites near the lake. The staff at the county are absolutely terrific to schedule and work with. This is quite a drive up from Ashland. Up Dead Indian Memorial Road about 45 minutes. But absolutely stunning country to drive through!

Awesome place, very family friendly. Years past were rough because of the water levels of the lake, but this year should be great. It rains periodically, so always be prepared. We generally stop at Costco in Medford to load up on supplies before heading up hwy 140.

Our family has enjoyed this park for several years. From horseback riding to camping, hiking, boating, fishing, or just relaxing by the campfire, Howard Prairie has always been a great high-country get away. We love to come here to get away from the heat of the valley during the summer. The lake offers a restaurant, marina, several campgrounds (some have... More
