You might miss the sign on the side of the road but you'll be rewarded if you search a little for this little house just outside of McMinnville that houses a glass workshop. Tyler and Derek, the two glass artists, are personable and accommodating as they demonstrate their art, which they continually work on and develop, right there in the shop. We really enjoyed our visit there. We have been to other glassworks shops and most of the time, they are not doing anything so it becomes just a gallery. But Tyler made sure he showed us some things that he does and even made a marble right there so we could see the process.

Tyler Goodwin demonstrated how he made the various components of the glass art objects in the store. He also explained the techniques used by other artists whose glass art was on display in the store.

Located 10 minutes west of Mcminnville on Hwy 18 (in Bellevue), this great little glass studio is worth a stop. Many items for sale in all price ranges makes this a perfect place to find a unique trinket, art piece, gift, etc... Several glass blowers share the rounds of staffing the studio so they are open regularly throughout the year. On site demonstrations are fun to watch and it's nice to be able to talk to the artist who actually created the piece you're looking at.

With the great reviews, we went and found out that they're gone. The bar next door is also closed. There's a pottery store and an art gallery next door.

While traveling in the Willamette Valley, we wanted to find items that were locally made and unique. We found just that at Liquid Light. Situated at a mini crossroads that also boasts a fine art gallery (Lawrence), another fused glass and ceramics studio, and a random-looking bar, Liquid Light is a tiny cottage filled with glass jewels produced by an effusive teddy bear who loves his craft. The pieces are small but beautiful, priced insanely well, and the entire experience is a blast. Go if you are anywhere near - you will not regret it.
