My husband and I have rafted over 25 rivers in the US. Over the course of 30 years I have seen the quality of service decline in this industry. Today I was stunned at the level of service provided by Imperial Rafting! Our guide Rios was very good, friendly and did what he said he would do. Rios guided our raft of four on the all day trip. Rios stopped in two places on the river and gathered up litter, which there was little of.. We were impressed. From the moment we arrived we noticed how impeccably clean the office was. The women’s shower room and bathroom was very very clean. The grounds were clean. The equipment was clean and in very good order. Everyone was attentive and friendly. The lunch was delicious. They were well staffed and the staff seemed genuinely happy with their jobs, which is rare these days. Anyone who reads this will know what I mean. Good job Imperial, you sure do stand out!

Kaylen was our river guide, and she was very experienced. The river was beautiful, and the scenery. We had one eleven-year old with our adult group, and she made him feel safe and competent. He had a great time! The rapids we went through were all fun. Kaylen not only provided direction in terms of our safety, and also direction when needed, but she also answered questions about the locale, wildlife and geology of the beautiful canyon we rafted through. She was friendly and engaged in conversation with us. The lunch was very nice in the middle of the day. The guides told jokes, talked to us, and made the bus ride fun for those times when we needed to transport from one place to another during the day. We had a great day. It was exciting and also beautiful.

We did the shorter trip that focused on the rapids and that was perfect for our group of 12 that included kids and older adults. We have rafted multiple places and this was a good outfitter. Quality equipment and friendly, knowledgeable guides. The river rapids were just what we wanted. Exciting but nothing bordering on dangerous. They have bathrooms and places to change plus they will hold your keys in the office. We went after lunch and glad we did because there aren’t many good options for food in town. We’d recommend rafting with them to friends.

We have now rafted with Imperial two years in a row. Beautiful grounds right on the Deschutes with professional guides. The first year I took my kids and 70 year old mother and our guide Ryan took really good care of us. It was a wonderful family trip! This year, I took my sons and their friends and had Ryan again (who had the same blue sombrero). We wanted a fun, exciting and adventures ride. We hit every rapid perfect, and he even dumped all of us out at Boxcar (which increased his tip)! just goes to show how versatile these guides are and can cater to anyone. We love rafting with Imperial and can’t wait until next summer.

This is the second time we’ve taken a white water tour with Imperial River Rafting. Both times we were lucky enough to have Brian as our guide and rafting guru. He knows all the right lines to get the most out of the rapids and is fun and easy to be around. Thank you Brian for making this family trip just as awesome as our first.

This was our first trip with Imperial and we had so much fun! Our guide Brian was fun and highly skilled. He encouraged us all to get out of our comfort zone and that made the trip a great adventure. We’ll definitely be back, and will request Brian for sure

Today we went on a full day 18 mile rafting trip with Imperial River Company. We ranged from 9 to 61 years old. From zero experience to several years of experience. Joey (the river guide) did an awesome job to make sure everyone had a great time. The provided lunch was a great BBQ style meal that any backyard host would be proud to claim.
What a professional and great experience from the time you pull into the driveway until you pull out.
I haven't mentioned the grounds. Lush green grass from the parking lot to the river and all along the water front.

It was amazing!! Our guides Jody and Lauren were fantastic. The hotel and rafting was so much fun and so easy!! Our family had the best time disconnecting on our 3 day 2 night trip!!
No service and the River life was just what we needed! My husband, myself and our three kids (11/8/7) will remember this trip forever!!

Brian was our guide. He is super knowledgeable about the area so we got to learn a lot. We also got to launch into the water on these really cool metal roller thing. We all sat in the boat and they pushed us in. So so freaking fun!!! The launch alone was worth the price of the ticket!

Saturday was a wonderful day that will be remembered by our family forever. Topher was our fantastic river guide/reverend. Our youngest, 12, was a little apprehensive but within the first 10 minutes of our trip, Topher had her giggling and she ended up being the our best "bull rider" on the boat. He was full of jokes, stories, games, and history lessons that kept our motley crew engaged and laughing. We even had the privilege of hearing his first ever Deschutes River Haiku. You'll have to ask him about that one.
Ages in our group ranged from 12-53. Our crew was adventurous and ended up in the water on more then one occasion, but never felt unsafe. It was all in fun.
The best part, was the second leg of the trip when we got married. Topher (who is ordained) picked out the perfect spot, in the eddy right at Boxcar rapids. We had our closest family on the raft with us, while the rest of the boats watched from behind. The day was perfect.
I also want to give a shout out to the rest of the crew at Imperial River Company. They were so accommodating and also a big part of why our ceremony was so successful. Casey, the bus driver was sweet and took the time to pull over to show the rest of our family where they could park to get the best view of the ceremony from shore. He also has great taste in music. I wish i could remember everyone's names...but thank you Kelly, Sombrero guy (who took video), Jason, and the other guides and to all the fellow rafters who patiently attended the wedding and cheered us on!
I highly recommend Imperial River Company and any one of these guides, but especially Topher, because he is the BEST FREAKING REVEREND and RIVER GUIDE EVER!!! Thank you, we WILL be back.
