Our family has been coming to Read's for over 30 years! Tgeir Rocky Road is the best thing ever - I look forward to it anytime we're in town. Also great assortment of chocolate treats and taffy. Dependable goodness!!

It’s dangerous for me to have money and go into a candy shop. I got a little of everything and then went back the next day. Excellent chocolates and great taffy. I’ll going in every time I visit Lincoln City.

Good Candy! They were not making anything when we went in this time, but have seen they pulling taffy before. Quick service.

We stopped real quick for taffy and were quickly reminded of the old days. The gentleman was making licorice taffy with the machine that cuts and wraps it. He gave us each a fresh off the machine sample. It was so sweet and soft. Highly recommend this for people of all ages.

They didn't put everything I bought in my bag. Imagine my frustration when there weren't enough items to go around when I arrived home. Not like I'm going to drive two hours back to the beach, but rest assured I'll never patronize this establishment again.

So glad we don't live closer or else our pants might not fit anymore! Great homemade taffy...especially love the blueberry, orange, lemon, and raspberry! Do wish they would've been friendlier, but maybe it was an off day.

We got a bit of several flavor of their taffy.. Very soft with good flavor. Thought the service was just fine. The two lady's behind the counter were working hard and fast to provide service as quick as could be expected .. All their dark fudge is excellent. If you want good salt water taffy freshly made this is the place

Great homemade salt water taffy made here. Watch it being made. a wide assortments of chocolates too. Delish. And for those on restricted diets they have a small selection of sugar free delights too. Make this a stop when going through town. Who doesn't need a few pieces of taffy to suck on while commuting back home? .

I've been stopping by here to get taffy for years whenever my travels take me along the Oregon coast. The store is a basic white wood building with red vertical stripes along the west side of 101. I especially like this kind of taffy which is quite soft and so less likely to be a "filling puller" that many such stores sell. Periodically they make the taffy on site so you can watch them create ropes of the stuff which a machine chops into pieces and wraps. I don't know about their other candies since I am focused on the taffy whenever I visit.

friendly red and white attraction big signs boasting homemade candies and chocolates. We purchased both sugar free chocolates, and their taffy made and sold only on location.... First the taffy is very minimally flavored. Only an essence of what the flavor is supposed to be.
The chocolate was actually salty, VERY SALTY. Horrible experience would not recommend this candy store to anyone.
