About
HANDMADE IN THE NORTHWEST. Mossy Creek Pottery was founded in 1973 on six acres bordering the beautiful Siletz Bay Wildlife Refuge. Located just one scenic half-mile off U.S. Highway 101, the near century-old farmhouse is easily found as you travel on Immonen Road through a forest of spruce and hemlock. This hidden gem is home to the work of 40 Northwest artists. Inside you'll find a wide assortment of functional and decorative pottery in an array of glazes, representing the many and varied styles and techniques of our local and regional potters. Discover a little treasure for yourself or find a gift for someone special. There's something at Mossy Creek for every taste and any budget.

What a fun pottery gallery!

I was impressed the second I walked in the door and saw the cutest sea stars and octopi hanging in a display there.

The work of multiple potters is available at this shop, and the work is pretty amazing.

The person behind the counter was friendly and helpful.

When we were ready go to, I went back to the octopi and was sad to see that the one I'd decided to get had just been purchased by the person ahead of us in line. With a hopeless hope, I asked the clerk if they had any more of those, she went to check and THEY HAD ONE! I was thrilled and bought it.

My wife was truly shocked and pleased to see me making an impulse purchase like this. As a marine biologist, I will find a nice spot for it somewhere in my office, or at home.

The octopus was a little more than I'd usually pay for something like this, but it was SO COOL!

An excellent experience and I highly recommend stopping by and taking a look if you are even a little interested in ceramics.

One of the Oregon coasts hidden gems. A fun quirky gallery filled with affordable art from the west’s best potters. Park like setting, friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

What a gem off the beaten highway on the way to Depot Bay.
Watch for the little "Blue or Green" marker on the highway that should say "Turn Left Now" !
I was so enchanted to both find and visit this whimsical artsy store.
Always one to support local artists, as one writer wrote, so many wonderful pieces, which to choose. Like them, I was hard pressed to just pick up maybe one or two pieces. Many over my budget but also enough within my price range to choose from.
Beautifully displayed crafts by local artists.
The quality of work they displayed was some of the best I have seen in my travels.
I'm from Portland originally and spent all summers as a child and even older adult lounging by the sea in the Lincoln City and Taft area.
I have wanted to stop here for YEARS and so thankful I finally took the time on my last road trip from San Francisco.
Please folks, support your local artists and communities.
Take this road less traveled and see what charm and beauty awaits you.
You will Not Be Disappointed!

We stumbled on this place via a Google search and I'm so glad we did. The shop is located in a 100-year-old farmhouse. It is a collective of pottery artists from all over the PNW. There are some of the most unique and beautiful pieces of pottery there. It is located off the beaten track but well worth the effort.

On a whim we followed the sign off the highway. The road led to a cozy cottage, nestled in the damp woods. Picturesque and Peaceful. With 40 artists contributing (we were told) there was everything from art pieces to the practical. Many are affordable, especially for an impulse buy. For a special gift, for the house and the garden. Could have purchased several items but settled on one I could take home to remember this lovely little place. Will revisit again!

This place is only a few hundred feet off the highway. It's easy to find and has around 20 local artists that hand make pottery. There were alot of beautiful pieces there for sale .

Wow! That’s what we said as we walked up to the cozy house filled with beautiful and varied pottery from artists in Oregon and Washington. It was hard to narrow our choices! This is a must visit if you’re in the area...it was quite a find!

Quaint little house tucked back in the woods. Don’t miss this when traveling to the Oregon coast. Lots of coffee mugs, pie plates, casserole dishes etc., all hand made by locals. On occasion it’s hard to find someone to answer questions, but if you hang around a while, someone usually shows back up front.

Thank you for your rating and sweet review! And we're so sorry if we've ever left you hanging in the shop! Sometimes we get pulled away from the desk by an artist or a phone call...but we never want to leave you feeling high and dry. :) We will work to find a little buzzer or other solution in case we step away. Our guests are our priority and we always want you to feel that way! Best wishes to you and we hope you'll come see us again.

We have loved this small art shop for more than 40 years! It's now expanded to include the pottery barn and has limited hours for the glass blowers, but staff is friendly, prices are reasonable and it's such a fun place to take the kids and view the action!
