We were looking for 101 Coastal Creations and found this store instead. Beautiful original glass balls. Nothing like you see at the other glass stores. They were out of my price range but they were gorgeous.

I am addicted to this and Jennifer Sear's across the street (same owners and all). Beautiful hand-blown glass to tantalize and charm. Volta is a bit more "stagy" than across the street, more artsy. (Except the sale room which is weirdly creepy and "I walked into a dirty storeroom.") Love the colors and presentations. I always leave here with a brown bag of goodies. This time found a rose and a float I just love between the two stores.

found some great pieces in the back room where the clearance items are. Staff was helpful and took care to wrap the fragile items.

Volta Gallery has an assortment of local artists with various media. Predominantly blown glass art, however, there were some paintings, jewelry, ceramic, and metal sculptures. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I will be back.

This was one of those rare unexpected delights that can appear when travelling. It is a small gallery with pieces showcased to highlight their quality and beauty, and one of the four artists present to discuss the pieces and the history of the gallery and artists. The art pieces seem reasonably priced given their quality and uniqueness.
There is also a small room at the back with perhaps the 'seconds' of the artists' work -- well worth exploring if your budget is modest but you want something unique.
