My mother in law brought my family up here to feed the fish. My son and nephew couldn't get enough of it! They really enjoyed feeding the fish and playing in the McKenzie river afterwards. If you want a cheap easy thing to do with...More

My son, who is now 5 years old, can feed the fish, play and then hike back to the perfect fishing spot just up the river. What a wonderful family destination for a day trip on the river!

Most people don't realize how huge sturgeon fish can get, though they are used here as catfish to keep the salmon ponds clean. Just off the McKenzie Highway, super convenient, you drive atop the dam to the other side, a wonderful, free 20 minute stop.

We had a workplace barbecue in the park. Lots of room to run around and look at the fish, etc.

Daytime. Early morning or late sun is best to watch the fish. But anytime is good during daylight.
