Just home from a great experience on the Rogue with ORE. The crew was lead by Ted, assisted by Eric and Megan. All three were very professional, knowledgeable and fun. Our safety was their number one concern. The equipment was well maintained. Meals were good with attention to special diets. Ted's passion for the river was evident as he shared his knowledge of the geology, fish, native Americans and miners. He is a wonderful story teller as well. The side hikes during the day were interesting and diverse. The rapids at this time of year were rated class 3 and invigorating to kayak. Swimming was a refreshing treat with air temps in the mid 80s. The scenery was spectacular with healthy forests and narrow canyons. We saw wildlife including bald eagles, osprey, turtles, deer that wandered into camp and a cub sitting on the bank eating blackberries!

Just returned from a 5-day raft trip on the lower John Day river with the ORE team. We can’t speak highly enough of the job they did and the great time we had. Ted, Kaylen, Megan, and Izzy were all very professional and worked very hard to ensure everyone had a great time. The meals far surpassed expectations - how they can consistently provide such great meals 3 times daily out in the woods was amazing. We will certainly be coming back for more trips!

Did the 1/2 on the Deschutes with Reed on August 30th. We had a blast! I spent quite a bit of time talking to Reed prior to the trip. I had one experienced paddler, an 8-year old who had never been in white water, and two parents who were new to the experience. Reed picked out and recommended a trip that would accommodate us all, be fun, and would still give us a real whitewater experience. It couldn't have worked out any better. My 8-year old loved it, my parents loved it, and my experienced paddler loved it. A great time was had by all. Reed himself was knowledgeable and friendly. It was like being on a boat with a friend. It didn't feel commercialized or cheesy and we weren't on a big trip with lots of other boats (although there were a lot of people on the river). John also joined and drove the van and took over 100 photos of us that we got on a thumbdrive for $30! Not the "here is your one picture" experience. I highly recommend this company. They are knowledgeable, low-key, no ego, not "commercially", competent, and fun! Thanks Reed and John! ~Heather

Whitewater is fun but not for all customers. My family had a nice time lazily floating down the lower Clackamas river which was recommended as appropriate and safe for young children. It was a pleasant easy ride led by friendly guide Amber, thank you.

We joined ORE for The Coeur d"Alene Biking experience with a group of friends from KC and some new friends we met on the trip. We met up Sunday evening in Wallace ID for a dinner and preview of the bike trip. Joel, Lisa and Ken were fantastic hosts and guides along this incredible bike trail. The Coeur d'Alene trails are part of the Rails to Trails biking conversions, and clearly this is the crown jewel of the program. The Hiawatha Bike Trail is the highlight with 14 miles of Tunnels and Trestles on an easy downhill ride. Over the 5 days of biking on the Trail, Joel, Lisa and Ken were absolutely delightful to be with. We rode the entirely of the Trail from the Montana border to the Washington state line. Each of the riders in the group could pick their own pace, and there was plenty of time for stopping for pictures and discussion of local points of interest, wildlife or incredible views. We stayed at the Wallace Inn where Rick and the team were very accommodating. Rick is the "Prime Minister" of Wallace and joined us for a couple of the rides and brought along great local insights and stories of the region. Overall, a. great experience in terms of the planning and flexibility in scheduling so we could enjoy some of the great non biking historical activities in the region including the Sierra Silver Mine Tour. Highly recommend traveling with ORE on this trip.
