Some very unique art in that I am not an "all art is beautiful kind of way." Especially paintings. I primarily am drawn to oils, probably because I believe that the depth of color is unmatched in watercolor etc... I typically only like some of an artists offerings. Here I found several pieces by the same artists appealing. Unique landmarks in and around to view as well.
Stop in, you'll be glad you did.

This was my first visit to this lovely small theater with my friends. The quality of the acting and singing was excellent but the voices sounded a bit weird through the microphones.

We just saw another great play at Lakewood. It is small with a community feel, and always appears to operate smoothly.

The Lakewood Center for the Arts is a beautiful, well maintained building. The flower displays outside were gorgeous also. We went to see a performance at Lakewood Theater. The musical Nine was absolutely terrific! The level of talent on stage is professional. The sound system was great; heard every word. A small theater that seats perhaps 150; stadium seating. No bad seats in the house. This theater is a gem. If I lived in the area I would certainly be a season subscriber.

The Lakewood Center has a wide variety of events. Annual art show is this weekend June 25-26 with a wide display of regional artists. The theater has some of the best stage plays and musicals in the region. There is a lovely resale shop of arts and antiques that benefits the Center. There are classes for acting for adults and children. The center is located in an old school and the interior is beautiful. Enjoy.

unbelievable production - 2 hours without an intermission ----great set -- entrance to the dungeon was staged exactly as it was in NYC

Wonderful singing and acting with great presentation by all actors ---fight scenes where staged (choreographed) with perfection
