I’ve ziplined maybe 15 times in my life, and this is the first time I wore gloves and braked myself on the cable. So even with some experience, it definitely felt exhilarating and new to me. Little 4 Wheel Dr. trucks drive you to the top of the mountain where you go through a 15 minute lecture on safety, and how to maneuver. At that point, anybody who is uncomfortable is allowed to back out, (or at any time) if somebody is uncomfortable they can back out, as well. There was a total of 9 ziplines, 2 rope ladders and 2 repels. Once you start the trip, you don’t leave the trees the entire time and the view of the Klamath Basin is absolutely incredible. Two of the zip lines were incredibly long in comparison to most I’ve ever done. My wife received a small “cable burn“ when she touched the line with her arm by mistake while ziplining, so you definitely need to pay attention. But she said the fun was worth the little bit of pain! The final zip line finishes up very close to the beginning where you load into the four wheeler’s. They have a little shack there selling food that made delicious chicken Caesar salad wraps! Of course, you can buy pictures of you taken during various points of the trip. They would not allow any cameras up in the trees with you so we ended up buying the Full package, just for fun! I definitely would return here and do this again and recommend Crater Lake Ziplines to anyone interested in this kind of activity.

My wife and I had a really great time with Addie & Lennie (apologies for spellings). We've been ziplining at different places before and this place is definitely worth the money. Both guides were professional and thorough in their safety briefings and patient and fun on the course.
The adventure started off with a quick bouncy ride in an ATV up to the top which was a nice little bonus (pro tip: sit in the front).
I think the safety briefing, demos, and trying (they'll actually make you do what they just told you) was neat. It put a couple of first time zippers at ease on the upcoming adventure.
We then proceed to the lines (pro tip: be either the first group or the last group in line) and have fun on the course. I hadn't had a zipline course do a vertical drop line before and that was extra fun. It really isn't a drop. It is a controlled descent.
All in all, a pleasant way to get out and about in the time of covid. Everyone wore masks and you will be in close quarters with others on each of the platforms. I would say the platforms were about 9' x 9' with 12 of you on it so their is no way you can get 6' away from people. If you can deal with that, I think you'll have a great time.

Chaz and Ethan made our ziplining experience great! They were very entertaining throughout and kept our group (6 people) laughing the entire time. They explained the whole process very efficiently and this was great because 5 out of the 6 in my group had never gone ziplining. I could not have asked for a better experience. I also want to note that the price you get for the whole experience is absolutely worth it. I will defintely go back the next time I am in town.

We planned a whirlwind road trip that included a 2 day stay in Klamath Falls, OR. Aside from visiting Crater Lake we were looking for some fun local activities. Our family of 4 has been toying with the idea of ziplining for that past couple of years and decided to take chance at Crater Lake Zipline. Our experience was all positive! Our two children did the kids zip while we did the 10+ 'full' zipline. Our 11 year old probably could have done it as well, but he was fine staying with his sister on KidsZip.
In addition to maintaining COVID guidelines for safety. Our guides made the set up process smooth, safe, informative and fun. We felt confident about what we were doing each step of the way. Once we got to the top (via yurt) and before the first Zip, we went through a thorough orientation and practice so that we were comfortable. The first zip was pretty short and a great first line to get nerves out of the way. From then on, we were looking forward to the next one. Our group was also a great mix of people. The guides kept the mood fun with some amateur comedy while setting individuals on their way. But, they always made sure we were safely hooked up and moving along.
My only recommendation would be to come with at least one good joke to share between zips! :)

Zip line technology has changed a bit since I first did this in Costa Rica through the rain forest of Monte Verde ten years ago. The harnesses now do not require nearly as much ab work and braking is easier.
There were 9 zip lines and 2 rappels.
We had a view of Klammath Lake which was nice on clear days. Since I did this twice within about a month, one of those days was hazy from fires and the views were significantly altered.
One problem though -- some of the other zip liners were not wearing their masks in a compliant manner. It was impossible to socially distance on the platforms and the guides really needed to ensure people complied. I called the office to let them know and hope they've made changes.

Thanks for joining us Kathy! We're glad you enjoyed it and came twice! We do experience haze some days when smoke blows in from regional forest fires. Depends on what direction the wind blows. We are requiring masks and some guests are better than others about wearing them properly at all times. We do our best and have them available when people forget to bring them. Thank you for sharing your experience. We appreciate feedback and use it to talk as a team about things we can do better or differently.

I have done a few Ziplines and none of them have been quite like this! At first, as the guides were going over the instructions, I became increasingly nervous about how hands-on this particular Zipline appeared to be. There were key instructions to remember for this experience vs the other Ziplines where I would simple jump off and go. However, by about the third line I felt like a pro! I appreciated being more involved. I could perfect my braking style, take in the scenery, correct my positioning if I started to turn. There were so many lines of varying lengths that the whole thing took a couple of hours! The guides, Addie and Chaz, were great! They explained everything very well and made the whole experience very enjoyable. They were very personable, told bad dad jokes, and didn't make you feel dumb for asking any clarifying questions. The whole experience was such a rush! Not for the faint of heart, by any means. You are up very high and stand on the tree mounts, which slightly sway as you wait your turn. Some of the lines seem impossibly long but boy is it worth it! I also felt very safe knowing they test out the equipment and inspect it all 3x a day. I highly recommend if you can put your fears aside and embrace the fun!

Shiloh and Lucy were amazing. They made my experience very fun and I felt safe the entire time. If you are expecting a small group to accommodate social distancing, then you'll be upset as I was. They still had the max groups of 10 people and with some of our fellow zip liners being from out of state and high virus states, I did not feel safe in that sense. Especially with some of those out of state folks pulling their masks down when we were all very close on the platforms. Shiloh and Lucy were amazing though. 10/10 tour guides.

Hello! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. We agree- Shiloh and Lucy are awesome. We appreciate the feedback regarding your Covid concerns. We do require masks on the tour, and we try our very best to enforce that while also keeping you safe on the zipline itself. We cannot control who visits us, but we have been taking extra precautions to make sure everything is regularly sanitized and keep careful records of everyone who joins us. Again, thank you for joining us and taking the time to provide feedback!

Wow what an experience! This was my wife’s and I first time ever zip lining. Like most everyone we were a bit nervous trying this out. Well, Lenny and Chaz did an amazing job teaching us how to operate the equipment and putting our fears at ease through their light heated comedic attitudes. Then once we got up there, we couldn’t get enough, spectacular views of this beautiful region of Oregon, super fun lines, just an overall great experience. If you find yourself around this is area of Oregon I highly recommend trying out Crater Lake Zipline.

We had a great time with Crater Lake Zipline! Couldn’t have had better guides than Lenny and Ethan! They were well prepared and experienced, we felt safe and at ease, but they were also fun with plenty of jokes and stories.

Our daughter alerted us that she was afraid and didn’t want to participate but she gave the first zipline and repel a try before deciding she had enough. Lenny, Ethan and the staff were very accommodating and got her back to the waiting area while we finished the tour.

All in all a great experience especially considering my wife and I both blew it by not reading the fine print and showing up late. Strongly recommend you read the whole packet so you know to show up 30mins before your tour time. We did not but the staff were very gracious to help us make it work. However this is very difficult for them and we got lucky they were able to squeeze us in.

Thanks Crater Lake Zipline!!
