We usually average between 500-2000 feet. We use different wind currents at different altitudes to steer the balloon. So the speed and direction of the wind determines our altitude. Generally between 500-2000 feet.

Gratuities are not expected but they are very much appreciated. There is not a set amount but I would base it on how much you feel the pilot and crew impacted your experience. We do share our tips with the ground crew.

I think he said 5 passengers and one pilot was the max, but you should just write and ask. The edge/guardrail of the basket is about 42" high so a 4 yr old might not see much depending on how tall they are.

We can carry up to 6. We recommend 5 but a morning flight would be an option for a 4 year old. The main concern is them being able to see over the basket and content in a basket for an hour. If you do not mind holding them and you think that the activity is appropriate for your child's personality then we would love to take you flying.
