We rented a spot at the state park, but to our dismay we could not fit our trailer into the space. We returned to the office and they refunded our money. The park itself is beautiful. Beautiful views in every direction. Good fishing in the lake and river. I would recommend Wallowa Oregon to everyone.

Decided to do a day trip with our teens. My father in law grew up in this area so I wanted our kids to understand why he loved this area so much. Definitely need to spend more time to fully check out the area. Great family picnic area. Not very crowded. Beautiful scenery. The water is amazing.

The lake is crystal clear, great for swimming & fishing. Aside from the tram and the views it provides, there are plenty of trails to hike and explore.

We have always loved to visit this park and probably always will. There's so much in the vicinity, fishing is great, hiking trails are plentiful as are the mountain biking trails. Family friendly, clean beaches on Wallowa Lake.

Have enjoyed our visit to 'America's Little Switzerland' each time. We come for the fishing and hiking. But there are a diversity of activities for nearly everyone - a bevy of outdoor recreations of course, but also mini golf, go carts, bumper boats, the tram and even shopping nearby in the scenic, tourist-friendly town of Joseph. And this is why... More

What a beautiful spot, until you visit you cannot understand the scope of the mountains, lake and valley's. The history of the area is fascinating and the park itself is cared for and lovely. We had a picnic, the kids swam in the lake, we enjoyed walking around the village and checking things out. It is wonderful. Everyone should visit... More

Beautiful, but busy, state park. The park itself is quite large and includes many grassy and tree covered areas for picnicking, hiking trails, a camp ground, and a marina with boat rentals. The rentals are very reasonably price and they have lots of options to choose from (paddle boats, row boat, motor boat, kayak, paddle board, etc) as well as... More

Beautiful lake with a state park with camping and beach plus another beach at other end of the lake. The lake has small floating docks out on the lake for boaters to use. Some of the docks have picnic tables on them. On another dock the people had put up a small tent. There's a gondola to ride on to... More

The State Park is well maintained. Lots of sites. Boating rentals are available. Deer can be plentiful in the park. Peaceful setting.
