There is no cell service in the town, but this 100+ year old place had it all. Traditional country store with groceries on one side and a bar on the other side, with plenty of taxidermy, snarky signs, free pool table, and John Wayne movies on the TV. They also have an ongoing "Rattlesnake Competition" wherein locals bring in snakes in exchange for prizes and the tavern converts the snakes into stuff to sell to tourists. "No Live Snakes" read the signs. If you are ever in Imnaha, I highly recommend stopping in for a true slice of Americana.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch. I had the Ruben and I have to say it was the best one I have ever had I'm 71 have had a lot of Ruben' in my day. My wife had the Big T she loved it! The two people that worked there could not have been nicer! Its an old funky place but very interesting. We like funky. A must stop for lunch or a beer! Especially if you're going to Hat point!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️❤️

A little hole in the wall convenience store, bar and grill that looks like it has been for a hundred years. The burger was really good with fresh lettuce and tomato. For being the only place in town it was a surprisingly good find.

If you want a cold bottle of coke and a bag of chips, this place is great. But, don't linger around too long or you will hear lots of racism, cursing and disgusting language from the folks at the bar. You only want to purchase prepackaged food. I don't think the food they cook is very fresh and my burger was so overcooked it would have worked well as a hockey puck. The lettuce on it was wilted and the french fries tasted like the oil REALLY needed to be changed. I guess they are so remote that they can't feasible keep fresh food. Maybe they should remove things from the menu that can not be served at their best. Better to not have it than to have it be less than tasty.

The overall feeling of the place left me feeling as though I was not welcome in this small town. The store would have looked much nicer if they removed some of the junk they have hanging on the wall. There is too much and it is all covered in dust.

The road to Imnaha is wonderful. When you leave Joseph, Oregon take 350E. The road is paved but 2 lane in most places. You will enjoy the beautiful Blue Mts and wild life.
When you arrive in Imnaha you will find 2 places to eat....The tavern was the only one open today. There is also a small free standing PO.

This is a small general store/ tavern and I am sure children can eat there. They have a large menu for a small place. The bar seating has old wooden bar stools...there are several booth/tables. This is a fascinating place with old Head Mounts and I do mean many of them appear to be very old.

We had burgers and fries. Very reasonable. Lots of locals and fishermen.
Fun place to eat

When you are finished eating besure to take one of the side roads. Some of these roads you will need 4x4 drive. Besure to ask before you start out. If you love mountain roads and beauty this is the place

A day trip to Imnaha on a motorcycle. The ride down to Imnaha is a fun one - great scenery, good road, and nice twisty turns. We stopped at the tavern to get a drink and a snack. The service was very friendly. We simply ordered a basket of french fries and some cold soda's. The fries were hot, crunchy and soft inside - perfect. The tavern serves as a general store too so it was interesting to see what was for sale. They got a lot of varied stuff. Although I didn't order a burger they looked great. An FYI... whatever the temperature is in Enterprise add 10-15 degrees warmer when you get to Imnaha.

A great place to stretch your legs and wash the dust off your face from driving on the gravel roads. Didn't stop for a meal, but rather a couple of cool drinks and some snacks for the trail. But it was a unique store/restaurant. I especially liked the sign at the cash register with all the locals noting how many rattlesnakes that had seen so far this season. I was on the lookout for snakes the rest of the day.

Swung in here with a friend after several hours on gravel roads. Had a few beers, shot some pool (still 25 cents), and took in the ambience. It was like travelling back in time, looking at all the pictures from this places long and rich history. Very unique, no frills, location. Highly recommend a visit if you are in the area. Be warned that the closest gas station is in Joseph, so if you plan on exploring Hells Canyon and hitting up Imnaha, get on the road with a full tank of gas!
