McKay Creek is the place !!
May 2021
Hi gang,
Following my visit to Meriwether I dropped by McKay Creek for a quick nine holes. Paid $22 w/cart for 9 holes. Met some real nice people, pace of play was slow but steady, everyone moving along as prescribed.
Course in good condition, greens recently plugged so when it comes to putting...fugetaboutit !!!
McKay Creek is a friendly, neighborhood course. A mixture of seniors, women, children and beginners. What golf should be.
Dont pass this up.

Great 9 hole course!
Jun 2019 • Solo
We have recently taken up golf and this is a great course with various levels of difficulty of holes (in my opinion) plus a couple of water hazards. Well maintained course. Staff are friendly and "Tucker" the resident dog is the cutest thing! Great/affordable driving range and putting area. $4 for a small bucket (25 balls).

Fun 9-hole course!
Aug 2018 • Friends
I golfed at this course over the weekend with a group of friends, and we had a great time! The course and greens were well-maintained, and designed for golfers of all abilities. The staff in the clubhouse were friendly, and the beverage cart attendant was readily available. We will definitely be back!

Fun 9-holer that feels further from town than you would think!
Aug 2017
I decided to play the area courses that I haven't played, and was pleased to play this one. I played it an early time so it was still a little dewey, but it had a nice variety of holes. It's not one that challenges you to overpower it, so it plays nicely for players of all abilities. I played it when it wasn't too busy, and flew right through my round. The first hole is a little intimidating as it requires a straight drive, but doesn't require you to hit a long shot so you can begin with something a little easier to keep in play. The driving range is a nice place to practice or warm up before your round and the last hole is a memorable one to finish your round with a good feeling of accomplishment. Just one hill so easy to walk and pretty much wide open (except hole #1) with most of the trouble on the right (watch out slicers, but plenty of room...). Not 5 stars, but 4.9 from me.

Nice course

Good course with a snack shop with hot food and drinks as well. Just would recommend they install a few mats for the driving range.

Good Little Nine Hole Course
Jun 2015 • Couples
This is a short par 36 course with good maintenace and a friendly pro shop staff. I was traveling through and played a couple of rounds to kill some time. They were very accommodating for a single player and the rate was reasonable. I would play it again.

Overbooked, Hostile Staff, bad course design
May 2015 • Friends
The whole experience was kind of weird. First of all, they told us that morning over the phone that they were running a special, and then when we got there there they said they weren't because it was a holiday. Bait and switch. Whatever, it was a long drive so we just ate it and paid full price. We were golfing at an above average pace, but at the 4th or 5th hole, the marshal drove up to us and said there was a Men's club right behind us and would we please keep up a fast pace. We were already golfing pretty fast and catching up to the people in front of us, so it was weird that they asked in the first place and also pretty classless. Golf is something we do to relax. If you don't have time for someone to golf their 9 holes at an above-average pace, don't take their money. It's not my fault they overbooked, and I paid the same as everyone else.
So then, the marshal just parks his cart pointed toward our current hole and just stares at us the whole time. When me moved on to the next hole, he moved with us and just sat there staring at us. It made everyone uncomfortable, like we were taking a test, and it didn't help with our concentration. It was like he was determined to make us so uncomfortable that we would leave. Anyways, the hurry was pointless because we just caught up to the people in front right away and had to wait.
Then our cart starts running out of juice because they sent it through too many times without charging. I tell the marshal (who is still sitting there watching us like a vulture) that we can't go any faster with the cart because we're flooring it and it barely moving, even though it says it's half full. He looks at it and says "it says it's half full", as if he either didn't hear me or didn't believe me. After we insist, he calls some guys with a new cart and they arrive just as we're getting to the next hole in our dreadfully slow cart (which I noticed didn't even make it back to the clubhouse afterward). A guy in an orange polo gets out and says "did you guys tee off yet?" and we say "no" (because we JUST got there) and this guy has the nerve to reply to us "WHY NOT?". Couldn't believe it. And after all the hurrying and hounding, we just ended up waiting for the people in front of us, because this course was designed by a rookie and puts the hardest hole at the end, so it's always backed up. Terrible management, terrible service, awful staff with bad manners. I have never felt so unwelcome in my life. Definitely will not be back.

Nice little course

Great little course for local golfers who want to just play a quick nine. Price is right. Good driving range. Sometime you even get to see some deer on the course.

Great local course
Mckay is a great local course. I love the fact most days you can just show up without a tee time. Everyone there is super friendly and helpful. Never had an issue here. The course is fun to play for all different levels of golf experience. Great place for beginners to learn how to play. I prefer this course over the higher priced and higher attitudes elsewhere here in town.
